To help me administrate the GMRG more efficiently I have decided to create a new leadership position. The new position will be Guard Captain.

I will appoint two Guard Captains, and their authority over the GMRG will be second only to my own. One Guard Captain will specialize in Gaming (JA, JO, BF2, etc...). The other Guard Captain will specialize in Writing (fiction, run-ons, the ACC, etc...). Each Guard Captain will command a circle of Guardsmen. Guardsmen will be divided between these two circles based on their chosen speciality (i.e. gaming or writing).

Once these changes are implemented, ECFs will only be awarded to those who beat a Guardsmen in their speciality. Either by winning best of three JA/JO matches or by winning a single ACC battle.

Applications for Guard Captain are currently being accepted. The requirements for either position can be found below. You need not be in the GMRG to apply, but precedence will be given to current Guardsmen. Please send all applications to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

Guard Captain #1 (Gaming)
1) Must play JA/JO at least several times a week
2) Intention to buy and play BF2 (and preferably EaW)
3) Genuine desire to help revive gaming in the DB/GMRG
4) Able to run weekly gaming events independantly
5) Previous leadership experience (AED or higher)
6) Minimum of 150 CFs (or equivalent gaming experience).

Guard Captain #2 (Writing)
1) Must participate in the ACC regularly
2) Familiarity with run-ons and short stories
3) Talented at both writing and creative articulation
4) Able to run competitions independantly
5) Previous leadership experience (AED or higher)
6) Capable of writing excerpts for both the GMRG Codex and Dark Voice
