I had no idea what I needed to do to be part of this. I was in #GMRG a couple times this weekend but it didn't seem like anyone was playing. Was it a 1 on 1 thing?
Bribing members with fictional medals to go spend 60 bucks for something they may not like/be interested in? Doesn't make much sense to me. And I have to agree with Jaysen. Based upon the actual amount of participants/matches played there is really no call for triple rewarding something like this (CFs, Novae and Seals) If anything it's insulting to any "real" large comp run by the Order Leaders. We get CFs, Novae and Seals for things like RoSs and GJWs... now weekend competitions? There's far too much belittling of medals/promos in the DB as it is.
I have to agree, it's medal overkill. However, it's a game release comp, so it's a one time thing. I won't be too annoyed about it :o)

I guess Korras caring about the club's future is bad then? Usually everyone complains about the Dark Council not doing enough when a new game is released... now they're doing too much when its released.
I personally would like to thank Korras for being the first DC member I can remember in a long time for actually getting off his ass and trying to promote a new game. I honestly couldn't give a damn how he does this or about the affects of it 'devaluing' past achievements.
To be true I don't see why that would be a downgrading of medals and I don't understand that ppl comming out of the ORoS with two hand full of novae now say that the tournament was to small to give out 3 nova compared to the 50, 60, 70 novae that have been given out int the ORoS.
CFs have been given out in this tournament like they have been given out in ICTE, Gaming Nights, ...
Novae has been given out for the best 3 playing the game in 2 days. Ok that have been 3 days or 4 days in the ORoS, But I doubt there were alot more games in the SWRC or SWBF sections during a ORoS step.
And the seals would be given for participating.
I guess would the tournament have been made one month earlier in the last week of the ORoS, there would have been given out even more medals. Maybe more CFs for playing a new game and there would have been give out merit medals for taking part in the tournament.
Ppl coming out of the ORoS with really hundrets and thousands of shinies and telling here that the few medals given out here wouldn't been worth it? Where was the ppl complaining here that there are too many medals given out and that this is a medal overkill when the ppl in the ORoS started to give out between 100 and 1000 shineys each 3 days ...
I can see both sides with good points. I can see giving CFs of course. I could even see Novas as a special "release competition" or something. Personally I'm kinda confused on the Seals though, I've only seen them awarded for GJWs and the big Order things like the Sith War, RoSs, etc. I have to agree that Seals shouldn't be awarded for this. If we do here then that opens the way for more things down the road. That downgrades the Seals in my opinion. We don't need Seals to show we participated in every competition no matter the size or scope.
But I'm glad Korras is running stuff like a Tourney for a games release. It's always good to see something going. Maybe not with all three awards here, but yeah.

it was all weekend long, free for all. one on one, teamgames, didn't matter what.
Do CFs, Novae, and Seals seem a bit much for a weekend tournament, for a game that few people have, and few participated in?
