1. Twice a year, prior to independance day and the day of the fox, the GM, DGM, and CoG each nominate one Guardsman who they believe has served the Iron Throne above all others. This individual is granted the prestigious title of 'Grand Master's Champion'. This title is one of the highest accolades obtainable by a member of the GMRG. The GM's Champion serves as an optional proxy for whenever someone challenges the GM to a duel (because lightsaber duels frequently result in the death of one or even both participants).

The first recipient of this title was unanimously chosen by the GM, DGM, and CoG... congratulations to *Ma`ar-Tyrius Bruth'Kothae Ga-Tir * on becoming the first Grand Master's Champion. Smoke is one of most active Guardsmen in the GMRG and has already made numerous contributions to the DB as gaming tribute... all of which made him the obvious choice for this particular honorific.

2. Results for the second half of the Gethsemane Incident should be released shortly along with the last round of matches for the GMRG Open. I will also be awarding medals and updating the roster to reflect the most recent loyalty amounts.

3. Lastly the Shadow War is being postponed... primarily because the GMRG Open lasted two weeks longer than anticipated. No one completed their matches by the posted deadline... But fortunately half the participants forfeited their matches last round, which really helps to expedite the rest of the tournament :P
