I have the same problem as the two above me. Also, why isn't the CodeGorilla layout an option? I love it and it would be easier to load than the Exodus layouts.
Anyone can make any of the layouts "default" for them. What Jac is asking is what should be the regular layout for anyone new visiting the site, or who just doesn't change their default.
For someone new to the DB, seeing a site with pure text isn't the greatest thing in the world :)
I like the idea of a color neutral site as a default (since we associate color with Order), equally though, I like simple designs. While I like the Exodus layouts and will have to vote for one as a default (:P), if I had my druthers Id go back to something a little less graphics intensive and shoot for something more elegant or professional even with a cable connection its still an annoyingly glitchy/delayed load. Sure, I can select a default, but its a pain when youre a cookie-dumper like me :)

I think that the Exodus layout, Sith style, really catches the eye. It would probably get people interested in exploring the site.
