This is the era of Luke Skywalker’s legacy: the Jedi Master has unified the order into a cohesive group of powerful Jedi Knights. Yes; more Star Wars books. Betrayal is the first in a new nine-part series running from now until 2008. I haven't read it but I've seen the spoilers, it sounds good. It's less hardcore sci-fi aliens and more prequel Sith plotting.

Like most new series it should be possible for you to pick it up without having read anything beore, they usually do a lot of recapping in the first part. If you have read the NJO series you'll obviously understand it better but it should be possible to follow it even without knowing much.

I won't spoil it, but if you like the Sith winning and being able to laugh at the naivety of the main characters then you'll like Betrayal.

And just to remind you, Star Wars: Legacy starts June 7th. They're still being very tight lipped though so I don't know much.

It's about Darth Krayt resurrecting the Sith Order on Korriban under the Rule of One. Then there's something about the Sith betraying the Empire and trying to kill the Empress. I'll post more details when it's released.
