Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines Released!

A new era of exciting adventures and shocking revelations continues to unfold, as the legendary Star Wars saga sweeps forward into astonishing new territory.

Civil war looms as the fledgling Galactic Alliance confronts a growing number of rebellious worlds–and the approaching war is tearing the Skywalker and Solo families apart. Han and Leia return to Han’s homeworld, Corellia, the heart of the resistance. Their children, Jacen and Jaina, are soldiers in the Galactic Alliance’s campaign to crush the insurgents.

Jacen, now a complete master of the Force, has his own plans to bring order to the galaxy. Guided by his Sith mentor, Lumiya, and with Luke’s young son Ben at his side, Jacen embarks on the same path that his grandfather Darth Vader once did. And while Han and Leia watch their only son become a stranger, a secret assassin entangles the couple with a dreaded name from Han’s past: Boba Fett. In the new galactic order, friends and enemies are no longer what they seem. . . .

Just as a warning, as I've already read the book the following might contain some spoilers- and if you haven't read Betrayal yet definately does.

Bloodlines is the second book in the new Legacy of the Force series. It follows the start of Jacen Solo's apprenticeship to Lumiya, the Sith Master who once trained under Darth Vader. The political unrest with Corellia escalates after a terrorist attack on Coruscant leading to creation of a new "secret police" with a lot of nasty parallels, headed by Darth Vader Jr. himself. It also sees the return of Boba Fett in his new guise of Mandalore and chief of the clans. He's trying to track down his daughter and stop himself from dying. Plus he plays an important part in the Corellian crisis in the course of the novel.

All in all, it's a good read, much better than Betrayal, and Jacen Solo is a really sick and twisted individual... if you thought Darth Vader was bad this guy is worse. There's nothing better than an evil guy who thinks he's doing good. Bring on the Sith'ari!

OK, so the news post lies, it's not really out until tomorrow.

US release date is 29th August, UK is 7th September. You can already get it from Amazon UK though if you check around the marketplace stockists.

Well how did you get to read it?

Luck. Amazon dispatched my copy last week.
