Hotmail/MSN: Add Us to your Safe Email List. Gmail: Check your spam!

Hey all,

As the popular mail clients try and become more efficient at catching spam, they sometimes pull our domain into it. The unfortunate truth is that some people sign up for the DB without knowing what the club offers, and then persist to mark all of our mails as spam. Not a fun reality.

But, there are some things that you can do to ensure you are receiving your emails:

Hotmail and MSN users: Please check your Junk Mail folder for emails from the DB. Adding the "darkjedibrotherhood.com" domain to your "Safe Email List" will correct the problem. Otherwise, email [Log in to view e-mail addresses] for an invitation to gmail.

Gmail users: if you are expecting an email and don't get it, check your spam. Like once or twice a year, gmail marks things as spam -- marking it as "not spam" will fix the problem for a while.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Jac

Gmail users: probably the best solution is to click on the options tab inside an e-mail and click "add sender to contacts." Do this from inside the e-mail; don't just add the information manually. I tried to do this, and things still got sent to my spam box, even after Jac changed the SA e-mail address to hm@darkjedibrotherhood.com.

Gmail claims that once you add someone to your contacts list, it won't make anything from them as spam. So far, that seems to be true.

actually, I've done all that with gmail; add to contacts, mark not as spam and still more than half of my DB mail gets sent to the spam folder...I've just learned to deal with it :)

Obviosuly, Gmail hates you :P

I'm still keeping an eye on my spam folder; I empty it each time I login to keep the amount of stuff I have to go through down.

But, as I said, I tried adding my e-mail addresses through the manual addition, but that did not work. Since I've done it through the e-mail itself, I've yet to see a problem.
