ICTE Results

Greetings,

As you might know by now, I've been invested with the position of ICTE Tribune. I've hosted a few editions in the past, so the transition should go smooth ;) I want to thank Lucius for his hard work for the past months, and for trusting me with the staff job, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him and his guidance. I have a few ideas regarding your favorite weekly tourney, I'll hope they'll materialise and that you'll all enjoy yourselves every week ;)

On to this edition's results...

ICTE on 10/14/2006 has performed succesfully. There were 26 participants, 22 Dark Jedi Brotherhood (DB) members and 4 Galactic Empire (GE) members. Every hour had an average proportion of member activity with the peak at 12PM-1PM and 2PM-3PM EST (both 12% of participant numbers). In total, members earned 260 CF's in various games, quite an impressive figure. Lots of team action as well, ranging from 3v3 Jedi Academy to a few 3v2 BF2 (a first for ICTE). I would like to take the time and recognise the performance of the top 3 players this week, for they have achieved extraordinary CF counts and win/loss records. RevengeX obtained 3rd spot, and clearly demonstrated that you do not have to play lots of games to obtain a significant number of CF's. Big congrats to Xayun for his unbeatable wining streak, keep it up, the all-star list awaits ;) And of course, a big round of applause for Malidir, who has achieved no more, no less than 66 CF's!

The results are as followed

<span style="color:#FF0000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1R </span>Malidir (66,75 CFs, 13 different people, 1st place), ALL-STAR

<span style="color:#990000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1A</span> Xayun (33,50 CFs, 2nd place)

<span style="color:#0000FF; font-weight:bold">Cr-1S</span> RevengeX (23,48 CFs. 3rd place)

The spreadsheet has been updated and enhanced with some visual elements, and I've introduced a new "Participation Chart". Basically it outlines the percentage of games played throughout the week's ICTE. If anyone has any comments (good or bad) on the new sheet, I'm open for suggestions, so mail me at karel.bruthkothae[at]gmail[dot]com. The CF's and crescents will be awarded later today.

Before I end this short report, I'd like to remind everyone of the team side of gaming in the ICTE. Single duels in JA, JO, RC, or any other gaming can take you only so far in the CF count. A team game has several advantages, of which I only need to remind two:

  1. Significantly more rewarding in CF's than 1v1 games.

  2. Much more fun!

A team game can score anywhere from 5 to 10 CF's per win, especially in BF or BF2. I encourage everyone to try out more team gaming, JA/JO/BF/BF2, whether it's a team deathmatch or a capture the flag match, I guarantee you'll enjoy yourself ;)

Keep up the gaming, see you all next week!
