ICTE Results

Greetings,

This week's ICTE marks the begining of a new era...an era where JA and JO no longer rule among Star Wars games, and where 1v1 games no longer form 99% of the total matches. The last two editions have seen an exponential increase in number of games such as EaW, BF2, RC, and even flight sims! I believe this is a evolution for the tournament, because all of these games are more rewarding (CF wise) than the Jedi Knight series, and, not to offend die hard fans, but can sometimes offer more fun. And I don't even have to mention the team capabilities of, say, Battlefront 2, or even EaW. So I encourage everyone who has these games, come to ICTE, ask around for other players, perhaps a team match or two, and you will be surprised of how much fun it can get.

On to this edition's results...

30 people attended this ICTE, 26 DB members and 4 GE. In total, members earned over 300 CFs in various games, so the number is increasing every week. Congratulations to everyone who played, you all scored amazing CF counts. This edition has been impressive in a few areas. First of all, it was one of the closest I have seen in a long time, with only a handful of CFs seperating the players from second place through fifth. Big congrats to Malidir, who has again scored an amazing count of 62 CFs. This is his second in a row, everybody give him a round of applause! In second place, Nadrin Jubolt, or CC for most, with a score of 28 CFs. This is his first ever ICTE, and he has performed well beyond everyone's expectations. Congratulations, and keep it up! In third place is Horus Blackheart, with 25 CFs, another new entry to the Top 3, Horus proves you can win by persistency! Nicely done Horus!

I am very happy everyone took my advice (or so it seems), and this ICTE has seen more team matches than past months summed up. A total of 12 team games were played, in platforms such as JO, BF2, EaW (a first for ICTE) and even an old timer, XWA. Of course, now that it is clear that you all enjoy team games, I expect no less than 15 for next time ;)

The results are as follows:

<span style="color:#FF0000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1R </span>Malidir (62 CFs, 13 different people, 1st place), ALL-STAR

<span style="color:#990000; font-weight:bold">Cr-1A</span> Nadrin Jubolt (28 CFs, 2nd place)

<span style="color:#0000FF; font-weight:bold">Cr-1S</span> Horus Blackheart (25 CFs. 3rd place)

The CFs have been recced, and the website updated with the latest spreadsheet and all-star list.

Next ICTE will have an addition to the structure, mainly...duck hunt is back! Some of you may remember from past editions, the concept of "duck" was introduced. A duck is a participant, who you all must hunt down, and defeat (normal rules apply of course), and you shall be rewarded with 1.5x CFs! So for each time you defeat Lucius in JO, or one of the other ducks, you will receive 50% more CFs than you would from defeating a normal contestant. The ducks for this ICTE are...

Xayun - JA

Lucius - JO

Malidir - BF2

Nadrin Jubolt (CC) - EaW

Happy duck hunting, and see you all next saturday!
