My Appointment as Deputy Grand Master

Thanks: I would like to thank Jac for selecting me as the new Deputy Grand Master. I know that this decision was a difficult one for him and one that he thought about for a long time. I am humbled by his confidence in me and I am grateful for his support. I would also like to thank Firefox and Kir for the trust they placed in me over a year ago. Their friendship has been very important to me and I have learned a great deal from both of them. Finally, I would like to thank all of the Consuls and Dark Council members who have wished me well. I appreciate your support and look forward to working with all of you.
About Me: I am a 29 year old Star Wars nerd. I have been married for two years to a woman way out of my league and we are expecting our first child. We have a Jack Russell Terrier named Lord Tyranus (Ty) and we are quite certain he is part human being. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.A. in English Literature and a B.A. in Philosophy. Professionally, I am a Captain in the US Army stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Leadership: Several months ago I wrote a seldom taken Shadow Academy course that defines the way I feel about leadership in the Dark Brotherhood:
Your mission above all else as a leader in the Dark Brotherhood is to motivate and inspire goodwill, fun, and companionship. These are the very core assets that keep our organization alive and thriving.
If a leader can inspire goodwill, fun, and companionship amongst members of the Dark Brotherhood, then he/she is doing a hell of a job. As a leader, it is our duty to improve the Dark Brotherhood and if we fail to do this, we fail the membership.
No Drama: I joined the Dark Brotherhood for two reasons. The first reason was to have fun and the second reason was to play Star Wars. I am a Star Wars nerd and I enjoy everything about Star Wars. I like the bad prequels, I like the even worse NJO novels, and I like all of the video games. Star Wars is fun and so is the Dark Brotherhood.
I did not join the Dark Brotherhood for E-Drama. I did not join the Dark Brotherhood to measure my E-Penis against other people. I know people dislike me. Many of them have very good reasons. Some people hate me because I was stayed in the EH longer than most and others hate me because of decisions I made as Plagueis Consul. I accept that these people dislike me and I plan to work like hell every day to prove to them that I deserve this opportunity. You may dislike me and you may even hate me, but I will treat you with respect, honesty, and fairness. In the end, I hope to earn your respect if not your friendship.
Up Next: I am going to spend the remainder of the weekend getting caught up with ongoing projects and the six hundred emails Jac sent me. Once I sift through all of this information I am going to put together a task list and get down to work. Expect a report next week.
Praetor and Magistrates: I am accepting applications for the position of P:DGM and for M:DGM. My Praetor will focus on GJW development and serve as my voice of reason. If you are interested in the position, please send me an application. I will make a decision next Saturday, so try to have it to me before Friday. I am also going to take on at least one Magistrate. Magistrates will help me with various duties and handle a lot of thankless tasks. Applications are due in the same manner as the Praetor applications.
Enough Already: Phew, that is enough from me. Once again, I want to thank everyone for their support and I look forward to working with you all.

Congratulations, Sarin, and thank you for serving Plagueis for as long as you did, as well as with as much skill as you did. Many may dislike you because your choices didn't serve their personal goals, but you always did what was best for the Clan, and now I believe you can do the same and more for the Brotherhood as a whole.

I agree, skip all those haters and do what you do best and thats bringing joy and control to the people.

Congrats Cappy.

Congrats my old friend! The DGM office is in excellent hands now. I'm truly looking forward to seeing what comes next for the DJB. :)
