New Leadership Manual: When to Step Down

Folks,

I'm pleased to release the next leadership manual in our "Alacrity of the Commander" series. This next one is entitled "When to Step Down" and, ironically, is appropriate for this week. :)

This manual is very important for every leader to read. It goes through how to recognize the signs of burnout and RL interference and what the consequences of staying on too long are. Here's a good passage:

Members who know their limits, on the other hand, lead much more fulfilling DB lives. They take on the projects that they can and want to, without loading themselves with too much work. They take on enough responsibility to keep themselves busy but content, and when they do decide to step down from their position, they will leave with a sense of accomplishment rather than resentment and frustration. These leaders also serve as better role models for junior members, giving them a positive, constructive example to follow.

I urge you all to read this -- it's vital.

You can find this manual and the others on the Leadership Manuals page. Yay for new spiffy icons.

Props go out to Erinyes and Troutrooper on this. Erin wrote it and TT did the editing and oversight before it got to me for more.

Enjoy,

Jac

Okay...seriously guys, I get it! I'm working on it! Sheesh...some people's kids... hehe :P

I really like this one, we need to make some lingo for when we want to tell somebody to step down lol

its called being blunt....like this: "Your'e frickin fired."
Im mean really, if were so afraid of hurting someones feelings over a internet club...imagine how it happens in the Real world.
