The Convocation, 26 ABY

The light of Antares slips past the terminus of Antei. In its wake the veil of night falls like the hushing of a thousand voices. Past the Du’san Boundary, the crags and steppes of the once-lush world are cloaked in the ever-dark of vanity’s ruin. It is here no light touches. It is here, in the heart of Adas—the realm of the Shadow Lands—that true power burns.

Obsidian stone rises from the terrain like a kneeling titan. Its walls are smooth and convey the gravity of incalculable mass resting upon the unholy precision of a dark will. Below the surface, like a dagger plunged deep into the heart of Antei, rests the balance of its might. For what is seen, is not always as important as what remains hidden from view. The difference is often known only too late.

This is the Dark Hall. This is power.

A thousand torches hold back the perfect blackness in hazy circles of fire. A thousand Krath Knights flank the path of hewn stone that wends like a ribbon twisting in the failing breeze. Acolytes of shadowed purpose move among the flowing amethyst robes. Methodically the dark congregation marches into the maw of the Hall and the inky blackness beyond its portal. Among them walk giants.

Their footfalls tremble the stone beneath. The planet shifts under the weight of their intent. Insects quiet at their passing. The air stills. To look upon them is to drown in pain. Their faces blur changing shape. Hope is lost there. To look upon them is madness. They are another kind. They are six in number; six regents of the Iron Throne whose power is legend. Shadow Kings all, they are the killers of worlds.

These are the Grand Masters. This is power.

His voice is like fog. One need not hear him to know his words. The sound is of the flesh, but the meaning is found in the places beneath the soul. There is no light in this room. Seeing is for those without vision. Light is for those who do not know their way. His gilded robes move of their own accord. Intricate patterns stain the fabric like golden blood. Reason is lost in their design. There is certainty here. His tone carries a warning like the forest’s howl. A Second Darkness comes.

The time of vanity is past. Those of the Sword are needed for what lies ahead. Many will rise to this call, few will answer it. The way is set. The Rites will decide. The Masters of Masters are in agreement. The Dark Hall opens once more to unleash these magnates of grim purpose unto the galaxy beyond.

Through the icy wastes between the stars, a blue apparition reaches out to every soul of the Brotherhood. It is the Dark One, Grand Master, Dark Lord of the Sith. His hooded form speaks of the trials to come. The Rites of Supremacy are to reveal those among the pretenders who will meet what lies ahead. There is no time left. What is shall never be again.

Take care in what you do during these events, for your actions’ effects may ripple through the galaxy and the events to come forever...

Of this there is no doubt.
