The Sith High Warrior Says...
<-

Ahh, welcome back. This week on the random babble from your friendly neighbourhood SHW, we're going to discuss the upcoming guaranteed blockbuster, you guessed it, the release of "The Fellowship of the Ring" written as part of "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien.
Let's face it, every movie made these days from being written by a book is mangled, but I had such high hopes for these movies... don't get me wrong, I'm still going to go see them, obsess about them, and generally love every second of them... but Arwen Evenstar in a leading role? Ouch, JRR's doing some tossing and turning. Tom Bombadil cut? I mean come on, that guy kicks so much ass, he could eat Sauron and all his evil henchmen for lunch before going out to find Goldenberry some dinner.
Anyways, that's my non-DB related babble for the day. Remember folks... December 19th, Middle Earth Awakens!

1) Webpage: HEY! Guess what?! I SUCK! Unlike some lucky people in University and in some places throughout the world, my first semester is not coming to a close soon, in fact, it's just getting REALLY hectic with final projects due and stuff, so, the SHW site is, as of yet, NOT DONE. Scarily (I think that's a word) though, it's close to being posted somewhere... with limited options etc. I think I'm going to pull an all-nighter tonight with some other projects, and I'll finish up the preliminary stuff for the SHW site somewhere in the mix.

2) Holiday Competition: The order leaders are supposed to be running it, and somehow because I came up with an idiotic idea for it, I got put in charge. We'll be releasing it for the most part this weekend, after I talk with Mairin and Sharad. The competition will hold some classic Holiday comps, like the favourite MANGLE THE CHRISTMAS SONG! and the always amusing, and ever perverted... CAPTION CONTEST!
The other stuff though will be a bit more of a mystery, look forward to it. Yay!

3) Multiplayer Competition Update: Things on this front seem to be heating up quite nicely. While I recieved no results from Thursday Night Training hosted by the SSD Avenger, I did recieve the results from the Archanis Training Night, where OHC Sharad and I both competed, shoulda been there, it was rathed funny ;)
OHC Sharad and I have also been approached with yet another competition night to be started, and it's a decidedly Obelisk one, so while I'm lending my over abundance of wisdom to the proposal, Sharad will have to talk aboot it more with all of you. It looks like a fun one, anyways.

4) Fun DC/AoC discussions are going on, and for some reason, I can't understand why we're not doing more... because we're doing a whole lot. Lots of discussion, and in the AoC in the past week, we've had 2 votes presented. Very exciting times.

5) Preliminary work on a Sith Studies Course has been started. But it's not what you people will be expecting. Some of you have expressed dislike of the Sith Studies in the SA being linked to IWATS Courses... well, tough. Sorry guys, but I'm not going to endorse the DB to take classes which are already offered elsewhere. Sith Studies courses will be SPECIFICALLY tuned to the Dark Brotherhood, and it's needs. If you want information on basic things like mission building, piloting... go to IWATS, or yell at our ever friendly DGM (who happens to be IWATS dean) for not having courses like... XWA Tactics, etc ;)
If you have an idea for a SITH STUDIES course, please, feel free to email me. I'm not against Sith Studies courses, I'm only against making classes which are already covered elsewhere. One such course idea which has been presented to me by some character named Doros, from Arcona looks very promising.
I will be awarding a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for every Sith Studies course idea given to me, which is accepted.

6) Dark Brotherhood Sith Ladder: This season has drawn to a close, and I would like to congratulate the following people.

XvT Ladder
- Doros

  • Pellaeon

  • IronHawk

XWA Ladder

  • Rexal Qel

  • Crix Madine

  • Halcyon

I'll be discussing the awarding of LoCs and medals with GM Firefox as soon as I catch him online, or am inspired to email him ;)

7) Dark Brotherhood Custom Missions: I recieved a pleasant suprise this week, when ACO Eclipsse (I think he's since been promoted to PRT) of House Ludo Kressh emailed me a custom XWA Battle. I had not thought of such things before, and he has given me reason to do so. Therefore, I'll go over some things about DB missions and battles right now...
Awards

  • Free Mission: DC
  • Beta Testing (50 Missions): SC

8) Final Note: Just going to say it again, my door is ALWAYS open to you people. I don't much care about protocol, or being called by my rank or position. What I care about, is that the Sith Order works better than it ever has before. If you don't like something I've done. Tell me. If you really don't like something I've done, you can use whatever colourful words you want to describe why to me, just do it in an appropriate place (Private Message/Email). I want to know what everyone thinks about what I'm doing, if I don't know how much I suck, how can I stop sucking? If I don't know how much I rule, how can I gloat about it? :)
Basically, I want everyone to remember that I AM A MEMBER OF THIS CLUB. Don't think of me as your superior, think of me as your Equal, because I think of all of you as my equals. Keep it real with me, just let me know what you think, and I'll do what I can to listen to your opinions.

That's it, and, has anyone else read about how the Toronto Maple Leafs are the current favourites to win the Stanley Cup this year? Just thought you should know ;)
