Your new Dark Voice Tribune

First, I would like to thank Sarin and Muz for giving me this tremendous opportunity, and I hope to not let either of them, or the rest of the Brotherhood down. It is with great enthusiasm that I've accepted this job, and I'm greatly looking forward to making great strides with the Dark Voice, and bringing our official publication to the next level.

For a bit of my background in the Brotherhood, I've been active in the DB for quite a while now, since my expulsion from the Emperor's Hammer. I've laid my banner in Clan Naga Sadow, where I've served as Clan Rollmaster and Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos. I've also served as a Magistrate to the Master at Arms and Seneschal. The last few months, I've been in the Rogues, but I plan to return to Clan Naga Sadow once more.

For a little background on the guy behind Derev, I'm 21 (22 in 10 days!!) and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I currently work at Wal-Mart as a Department Manager (Over the Counter Pharmacy). I'm a veteran of the US Army, and as good a geek as they come. I co-founded and served as Editor-in-Chief of a Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game Online Magazine (The Halls of Moria). With the help of friends, we turned a rag tag idea into a very popular e-zine, which ran 19 issues over 22 months. Furthermore, I also served as an Assistant Editor on my highschool newspaper for a year. I'm very enthusiastic about writing, and while I've not made a big name for myself in the Brotherhood as a writer, I do believe I am well suited to take the helm of the Dark Voice.

So, what should you expect. A lot. In the next few days, after approval from the GM and DGM, I plan to release a Mission Statement and Publication Standards for the Dark Voice. I will also be heading up a 'focus group' for the Dark Voice, and will invite representatives from every clan and body in the Brotherhood to participate. This focus group will take the direction I've been given by the Grand Master, and form a serious game plan to get the Dark Voice published regularly, with consistancy and style, while giving the Brotherhood what they want from the Dark Voice.

I also hope to make some changes to the setup of the staff, hoping to give some incentive for well written and consistant submissions to the Dark Voice. Existing staff members will be contacted by me shortly. Anyone else in the Brotherhood who has a passion for the Dark Voice, or writing in general, I would encourage you to email me as soon as possible. A lot of changes will be coming in the Dark Voice, and this is a great opportunity to get on board, and be recognized for your contributions. I'll have a blog set up shortly, and that will be my primary point of disciminating information about the Dark Voice, so keep an eye out for that. I look forward to publishing the next issue of the Dark Voice. Feel free to direct any questions, comments, or concerns to me, I'll be happy to respond.

Finally, the next issue of the Dark Voice is scheduled for release Saturday, June 16th. This will be the 'last' issue of the Dark Voice as we know it now. That being said, if anyone is hoarding articles, or anything they want to see published, now is the time to do it. I'll make every effort to publish everything that looks halfway decent.

I'll also be emailing the Clans about the above mentioned 'think tank'. Get with your Consul if you're interested - writing for the DV is not a requirement, we simply want feedback and opinions.
