Well, as the title says, Dalthid has been having RL issues stack up, and held on as long as he could, but two and a half years later, it's time for him to toss the reigns over to someone else.
Love him or hate him, one has to respect that Dalthid has been quite even-handed in his work... a critical necessity in being Combat Master. Given his exposure to the new guys, he also had the joy of being the guy who had to reign them in... I don't even want to think about how many people request ridiculous (and 'unique' :P ) items, skills, or racial abilities for use in the ACC.
Heck, it's not even the new members alone. I remember throwing a fit at him when I was Epis about some lame thing or another. And while I was angry at the time, I look back and go 'meh, it wasn't that important after all...Dal was right.' And that's part of Dal that you either respect or hate: he doesn't let you walk over him. If you are acting immature and stupid, he'll call you on it. I, for one, appreciate the absolute disdain that Dal has for political nonsense and double-speak...focusing on the work and getting it done. I'm sure that many of you feel the same.
Anyway, Dalthid's steady hand and control of the Antei Combat Centre was instrumental to it becoming as widespread and popular an activity as it is today. For that, Dalthid, we thank you.
In his shadow is no stranger to the ACC. Having served as Deputy Combat master for over a year, and a champion of the centre as well, Halcyon Rokir is a well-trained successor. Having returned from his recent vacation, Sarin and I have the utmost faith in his ability to continue to build the ACC into something even greater.
Backing up Halc in the transition, Dalthid will be staying on as Deputy Combat master for as long as he can before RL sweeps him off.
Have a very well-earned retirement, Dalthid. And welcome back, Halc.

Wow. I definiately did not see this coming so quickly. Either way, may I be the first to say, you've have a remarkable impact on the ACC Dalthid. Like Muz said, we've all had a disagreement or two with you about something stupid aspect of the ACC, but at the end of the day, you did a damn fine job. I can't remember any other CM during my time in the Brotherhood, so I have nothing to compare. But you will be missed in the ACC.
Someone give him a GLS or something :p
I can't say enough to thank you, Dalthid, for your work over the years. You were an absolute pleasure to work with; one of the few people who actually take advice and appreciate it. I will miss your leadership in the ACC. You were truly deserving of the SL you received -- the DB owes you her thanks.
The ACC is 1000x better than what it was -- I'm confident Halc will continue that tradition.

Yes thanks Dalthid for all you have done in the ACC. I havn't been here long but even in that time you have made a differance. Congrats Halc good to see you back,
