Breaking News: Brotherhood's War Games Conclude

Star System MDMP502101 - Over the past fourteen days, the clans of the Brotherhood have been engaged in a massive war game in System MDMP502101, located just outside of the Shroud. As scheduled, Grand Master Sarin ordered the end to combat operations late yesterday evening.
With the end of the war game, the Grand Master has announced the awards ceremony will take place today, in a few short hours, at the very site of the operation. It will be an awards ceremony quite unlike anything the Brotherhood has seen before the Grand Master remarked, refusing to give any concrete details about the ceremony. Despite his tight lipped demeanor, some things have become obvious. The leadership of the Brotherhood has begun arriving, many accompanied by visiting dignitaries of the Brotherhood's allies. Such a gathering of the Brotherhood's dignitaries generally only occurs on the Day of the Fox and the anniversary of the Exodus, leading many to believe the Grand Master is serious about just how important this awards ceremony will be.
Clan Taldryan, heads hung high as always have already claimed victory in the operation, and have begun their typical behavior for such a time. Sources have indicated a small supply ship rendezvoused with Clan Taldryan this morning, unloading a massive shipment of alcoholic beverages.
Oh, I'm pretty sure we won remarked a young journeyman from Taldryan when dont we win? he chided sarcastically, clearly dangerously close to blood poisoning. On a serious note, many signs do seem to indicate that Clan Taldryan has won the day. However, nothing is certain until the Grand Master releases the final scores later today.
Victory in this war game for Clan Taldryan would be an amazing asset, as the Grand Master has pledged the winning clan will be awarded custody of a new star system. Beyond the resouces and potential of a new star system, the clan named victorious will be granted the honor of leading the Brotherhood in battle in times to come. Should Clan Taldryan win this event, it would given them an even stronger advantage both tactically and with resources.
Clan Naga Sadow continues to maintain that Taldryan's victory is not so certain. Nobody knows who won this operation, except for the Grand Master. Naga Sadow Consul Manesh Sadow remarked in a brief statement. When the scores are tallied and the results announced, I'll have no problem bowing to Taldryan if they do indeed win. However, I believe several clans are easily in competition to take the honors of the day he concluded.
Regardless of the outcome, the might of the Brotherhood is preparing their formal robes, polishing their light sabres, and dawning their sacrificial awards. The only thing certain is today will be a day to remember, and will likely change the balance of power in the Brotherhood for a long time to come.

Great Jedi War Seven (GJW7) will pick up - fictionally - immediately at the conclusion of the Rites of Supremacy: Second Darkness (RoS:SD). Attempt to remember, for continuity in your fictions, that GJW7 starts just days after RoS:SD.
We'll have to (WHT) keep that in mind (KTiM).

RoS just concluded, but we're using the "current" Clan rosters, meaning Muz is DGM, I'm CM, Marcon is CON, etc, etc :P

What Halc said. While this war fictionally starts but a few hours after the awards ceremony, we will be using current clan rosters for the cast of characters.
If you figure how many changes in roles occurs after an event, one could easily rationalize that the changes happen in the several hours of political maneuvering after the proper awards ceremony.

Also, as the post mentions 26 ABY I take it we're "pushing the GJW back in time to 26 ABY" rather than "pulling the RoS forward in time to 27 ABY"?
The GJW is set immediately following the events of the Rite of Supremacy. We did this for two reasons:
Like most Star Wars writers, we chose to ignore continuity and just "fix" the story when position changes occurred. For those of you who have been Star Wars fans for a long time, you should expect this sort of continuity "mixing".
Yeah, it might have been a lazy move on our part, but I don't see too many people volunteering to write 100 page back stories for competitions and Raken was on edit 49320837403928430928430928 and I was not about to make him re-edit the story again.

Thinking about that some more... the RoS was at the "end" of 26 ABY so I suppose it won't matter too much as it could reasonable span "new years" so if we mention stuff from either year it could work either way.
And for anyone who doesn't understand what I'm getting at... I want to know whether Coruscant has been invaded yet for fiction purposes :P

So if that means if people officially have had the same positions they have now since the RoS ended in March then presumably the Clans can submitt medal and promo requests claiming the member has done the job for the last four months even if they were in fact appointed yesturday?
