In Memoriam

Members of the Dark Brotherhood,

Several months ago I had the opportunity to travel to a small town an hour away from my house and meet my M:GM, Baron Zarco. Baron owned and operated a gaming store next to his law office and invited me over so that we could talk and share a few laughs. I was impressed by Baron, his wife, and their zest for life and the easy manner in which they welcomed me into their lives. After a short hour of talking and bullshitting about life, I bid Baron farewell and headed home.

Because of our meeting and my short acquaintance with Baron, I am deeply saddened to announce that he has passed away. I would like to give my condolences to his family and in particular to his wife, Dark Jedi Knight Al'Meda Zarco.

In honor of Baron, we have placed him upon our Memorial Website at: http://memorial.darkjedibrotherhood.com/

The validity of this tragedy is not to be questioned as I have confirmed it with Baron's local newspaper and with his wife. If you have questions, you may come to me; however, the details of the accident will not be released to anyone.

My condolences.

Wow. This is really hard to hear. He was a really nice guy and only interested in furthering himself and everyone around him. I send my condolences to his family and friends in this hard time.

My condolences go out to his wife and the rest of his family for this tragedy

Wow... I can't believe it. Baron was an all-around nice guy and was terrific at writing. My deepest, most sincere condolences to his family. Baron, I hope we have another ACC battle when we meet again.

My heartfelt condolences. He was a fine person. I honored him with sage just a bit ago.

I considered Baron a truly great friend. He was an ACC rival to me but he was also one of the greatest guys I have ever met. My condolences and sympathies to Al'Meda and the rest of the Zarco family.

The Dark Voice will be featuring a dedication for this member in it's next issue. Anyone who would like to write some piece, or help with it's overall creation, please contact SW Dismal and myself.

I would like to extend my heartfelt sorrow and condolences to the family on this sad day.

Sad news indeed, Zarco was a good person. My condolences to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Zarco family in their hour of bereavement. Baron was a good guy and excellent writer, he will be remembered in the DJB for a long time to come.

My condolences.

I cant believe this. He was always full of life! I am extremely surprised. I send my condolencies to his family and mainly his wife, Al'Meda. I dont cry much, but I am not embarassed to say that I am crying over this incredible loss to real life and to the Dark Brotherhood...

I was so shocked to read this on the news page! When I first met Zarco, it was on the message boards and he seemed to be a great guy! Later we fought in an ACC match not two weeks ago and I was introduced to his awesome writing prowess. He even taught me a thing or two.

My condolences to friends and family and for the DB memers who were close to Zarco.

He will be sorely missed.

"Friends, families, and loved ones will always die, it is a given fact of life. Yet, it is the memories that they leave behind, the legacy that they share with the rest of the world that makes them immortal."

Truer words have never been spoken. My heartfelt sympathies for the loss of life. Though, from what little I know of him, he seems to be living a life of immortality...

My condolences.

My deepest sympathy to his family and may he rest in peace.

I'm stunned. I just challenged Zarco in the ACC - I was looking forward to fighting the former pupil who went on to exceed my own experience in the ACC. This was something that we never got around to doing while he was in Ektrosis, which I know I'm going to regret now.

Zarco was an exceptional member. Very motivated and determined in his pursuits. As TET he brought his battleteam back from inactivity to complete some very impressive run-ons. I know his forthrightness caused tension at times, but I admired his willingness to call it as he saw it - it was quite refreshing. I was pleased that he and Al'Meda had recently found a new clan home, and was hoping that they might settle well there.

There's not a lot more I can say that won't sound trite. My thoughts are with Al'Meda and her family.

I had worked with Zarco in both Ektrosis and Archanis we got along so well and he was a great friend. I also recently added him to my Fiction staff and he did a great job. He will be sadly missed and my heart goes out to Al'Meda. I agree with everythign Alanna said I hope this memorial shows how much he was loved in the DB.

My condolences.

In my few interactions with Baron, I always found him to be an excellent member. I hope and pray that whatever troubles he had in life are left behind and that whatever joys he had go with him for all time.

My condolences.

My condolences, he will be sorly missed.

My condolences to his friends and family, he will be missed.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand
~Irish Blessing

I'd like to express my condolences to Zarcos family. I only knew him briefly but he was friendly, even to an oldtimer that just seemed to pass through once in a blue moon.

My heartfelt sympathies to you and yours, Al'Meda. I will keep you in my prayers.

Since he had not helped create one himself, yesterday Baron Zarco was awarded a custom warbanner. It has a few features that are not available for his level. I've also started working on his wiki article since he did not have one of those either.

I regret that I did not know him as well as others, especially since we were on the same page for a lot of topics. One of the only real memories is our exchange about titles in the DJB, and how he defended that "Baron" could be a name - to which I agreed. He had a real passion for the things he believed in, but enough wisdom to put together those feelings into rational thoughts. Quite an uncommon characteristic, and he will be sorely missed.

My thoughts go out to his family.

salutes

Al'meda, you are in our thoughts.
