Dark Covenant Amendments

The Chamber of Justice is always looking for ways to improve our judicial system, and as most of you have probably noticed by now, this entails occasional amendments to the Dark Covenant. I am making this post today to inform everyone of five new amendments that have all been appropriately approved as outlined by the Covenant. I have requested that the SCL's office update the Covenant webpage to reflect these changes, so I assume that will be done shortly.

To summarize, the changes basically did four things:

_1)Ensured CoJ Policies/Procedures are understood as authoritative

2)Updated an old change in a section we had overlooked

3)Added summary dismissals

4)Added GM oversight of jury selection_

The full changes can be found here: September Dark Covenant Amendments

As always, any comments or questions can be emailed to me- I will respond as quickly and thoroughly as I am able.

looks good.
I have two questions though.
1. In what manner are jurors chosen so that it is random?
2. And what prerequisites besides being an Elder or an Equite must a Juror complete before being eligible?

Good questions Vodo -

1) Jurors are chosen in the following manner: I take a list of all actively placed Elder or an Equite members and put them in a numbered file. I then use a random number generator to pick the amount of jurors I need, by their associated number.

2) The only prerequisites are being an Elder or an Equite, however after jurors are chosen I also email each one individually to see if they have any previous relationships with the defendant, or any other feelings that could add bias to their job as a juror. If I believe someone cannot act without bias, I remove them from the jury and reselect using the above list and number generator again.
