This will be a topic in which you will need to use a flashback technique. Write about your character overcoming a challenge related to something he failed to do in the past. Show us a flashback of your character’s past experiences. Explore how the current triumph makes him feel about the past failure.

Light fades into silence

Pretty self-explanatory. Make a relation between light and sound, and build it throughout the poem. If you can make them symbolize something, well, that’s good. If you can make them symbolize different things and still make sense, that’s even better.
