Two dates are used to "change" the time. The first being the anniversary of the Exodus and the second being the Day of the Fox, or whatever the official name is. Those are also the dates that the SoL is given, so for the DB they're "special" and as such used to also change the SW time we are in.
So fictionally I'm 16 years old according to my history outline :P

Merely wondering here why the SW year doesn't match our own? Like why is Nov 6. the first day of the next year instead of Jan 1st?
