This report we will be reviewing Wiki Usage - say it with me: Wi ki U sa ge. What is old man Tron talking about? Well let me explain.

As I near year 11 of my membership with this organization (I know it's kind of sad I've been here that long) I have noticed changes coming and going. I have noticed tendencies and traits amongst the membership. One such trait is not following the rules clearly - especially when it comes to the Wiki, so we are going to go over a few basic Wiki Usage reminders.

1. Use the Show Preview button! It's not hard, it saves the staff from sifting through a billion edits, you won't earn any extra points towards your next promo for it I promise you!

2. Talk pages - these are not for aguing with one another. If you have a problem that cannot be resolved via the talk page (which is for mild discussion of the article at hand) e-mail the appropriate leader - typically me! The Wiki Tribune.

3. Current events - This is a wonderful tool that we have in the side bar/navigation bar and I highly, highly encourage all Clan/House leaders to use it to the fullest.

4. Your Page - This is NOT a replacement for your dossier. Therefore, do not list Shadow Academy achievements (the only exception would be if you completed every SA course that ever existed). Do NOT list all of the medals you've earned. Do NOT put in your Warbanner (unless you've written a logical paragraph to incorporate it). Just remember, if it's on your dossier, you do not need to add it.

5. Quote of the Day - Help us make this a sensational part of the Wiki, but don't use it to promote prejudice - some people can tend to be offended where others see a joke and we want to keep the peace between our membership.

6. Featured Article - To be counted worthy of Featured Article status you must meet a strict set of requirements set out by the Staff and myself - if you do not get selected, try sprucing it up a bit.

I'm sure I could go into more detail about things but I think that's enough for you to think about at this time.

Personally

I have just returned from a spur of the moment two week long road trip from Fort Lewis all the way down to San Diego and back. I had sparse wi-fi as we were busy doing so many other things but now that I am home I'm starting to catch up on e-mails and paper work so please bear with me as I sift through the past two weeks of Wiki Edits.
