I have finally gotten free of the University black hole that was soaking all my time, I am back. Below are two monthly competitions being ran right now.
Title: Aliens v. The Dark Brotherhood
Specifics:
For a long time we have avoided many types of things when it comes to
genre, but competitions are not part of our cannon so I have decided I
will be starting a series of what I call Franchise Mixers. We will start
with a highly popular one, Aliens v. The Dark Brotherhood, thatâ?Ts right,
the iconic horror sci fi monster, verses the iconic bad boys of sci fi,
the dark jedi. Minimum of 3000 words for this competition in 12 point
Times New Roman or Arial font with standard margins. Have at it and
enjoy.

And an Christmas competition to get us all laughing and into the holiday spirit:
Title: DB Christmas Competition
Specifics:
As is customary for this time of year there is always a Christmas type of
competition in addition to the normal competitions. Thus, I have decided
to have a second Christmas oriented competition, it will be a 1500 word
limit, 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font with standard margins, as
well as humor requirement, and the topic is: The Dark Santa of the Sith!
In 1200-1500 words you tell me who would make the best Dark Santa of the
Sith and why. Let your sense of humor go with this one and again have fun.

DB Monthly Competition for the monthly topic and for the Christmas one the subject heading should read DB Christmas Competition.
Note that the Christmas competition is due on the Dec. 23rd by Midnight while the normal competition is due at the normal time of Midnight on the 31st.

You just made two fun competitions there, both seem interesting to me, but I suck at humor, so I'll stick with the aliens one (which btw are pwned easily by Dark Jedi =P ).
For the first competition, is 3000 words the minimum length (as you mentioned in the specifics), or the maximum length (as stated under comments)?
