CNS Consul Report for June 2010

Errare humanum est, ignoscere divinum.

Keebada Villa: Lor Zatean: Aeotheran

_The assorted Dark Jedi of Naga Sadow, Dyrra, Fremoc, Methyas and Roxas amongst them, stared as Macron went about his work with maniacal glee. The alchemist was a sight to behold; raw brutality in the Force coupled with the bloodthirsty elegance of a trained killer, an elegance honed by his time studying with his Kyataran brethren. As Deliverance's goons swayed back slightly at the Sith's arrival before regrouping and rushing forwards again, breaking the brief moment of respite that the Dark Jedi had received, a figure moved into the room almost unnoticed.

Several crimson blaster bolts seared past Dyrra's head on either side, only to be batted away by a thrumming pair of argent sabers. Turning slightly, the purple-haired Quaestor let out a brief 'hmph' at the sight of her former Master, his blades clutched almost nonchalantly in his hands.

"What're you doin' here, One-Eye?"

Moving past her towards the front of the Sadowan group, ignoring the crowds of goons jumping in and out of cover to fire, Manji let out a dark chuckle. Planting his feet on the ground, he set both sabers into a whirling figure-of-eight pattern, smashing blaster bolts away in all directions as Roxas, Methyas and Fremoc darted out from cover behind him, intending to help Teu and Locke obtain their objective. The newly-arrived Warlord and the Pontifex intended to keep Deliverance's forces controlled, both intent on unleashing their full power, while the lower-ranked Sadowans went about the serious task of disarming Deliverance. Glancing back over his shoulder as he stepped forwards into the storm of blaster bolts, Manji shouted back over his shoulder to Dyrra.

"I made... a deal with Macron. An important deal. Then I figured I'd show up and help you guys finish this upstart before that deal comes into play."

Moving up alongside him, Dyrra stayed cautious, smashing away another incoming bolt with her lightsaber. Natural curiosity spoke through her lips.

"What kind of deal?"

Manji's smile slipped slightly, seeming somehow distant and far away.

"The kind of deal that changes everything."

Then he came to his senses, and with a roar of unbridled fury, pushed forwards into the nearest group of Deliverance's soldiers. Several men dropped to the ground screaming, with deep, burning slashes marking their flesh. Teeth bared, the One-Eyed Dragon roared his defiance as he smashed away another flurry of bolts._

Hey everybody. The fiction above (from the current CNS run-on, Unrest in the City) might seem a little cryptic, but if you read to the end of this report I think you'll see the relevance. Without further ado...

First off, the big news this month is that there is currently a DB-Wide AWOL Check going on. For the newer members, this is a way for our Master-at-Arms to try and gauge how many members of each Clan are actually alive and kicking and doing stuff; if you want to remain in the Clan (which I'm hoping you all do!) you just need to reply to the email that should be in your inbox entitled "AWOL Check – Naga Sadow"- give your name and the PIN number on your dossier. Simple as that. The check will end on July the 2nd, so if you haven't responded by then, tough luck- you'll be going to the Rogues!

In other DB-wide news, the Voice still has a fair amount of competitions out for you all to participate in for a chance at huge shinies; on top of that, this is from his report:

"I am looking to have a DB-wide Run-On in mid-July (starting around the 15th). This Run-On will be very mission-oriented, and deal with specific objectives that must be completed. To ensure a more cohesive story, I am taking sign-ups for this Run-On. Anyone can sign-up. Just send me an e-mail that you are interested in participating. I would like all sign-ups in by July 10th. First-level crescents as well as Cluster's of Ice will be up for grabs! This is the perfect opportunity to flex your fictional muscles against other writers in the DB, and maybe earn a little fame and recognition for your character."

Sounds like a pretty cool opportunity, right? Go ahead and sign up!

As for things here in CNS, Unrest in the City continues to roll on quite nicely; we’re getting close to wrapping up the current story arc and finishing off Deliverance, after which we can all have a nice fictional break before getting back into it. This month we've had quite a lot of people post enough to earn themselves a Cluster of Ice; there are still three more days until the end of the month, so if you've only posted once this month, get another post done for a medal! Speaking of Clusters of Ice, I've had a huge number of emails hitting my inbox since Halc and Muz got all the Seals of Bone from the RoS awarded, and gave out Clusters of Ice retroactively for ACC wins. Congratulations to everybody who picked up medals from that!

Furthermore, we recently saw the vacant position of Clan Rollmaster filled by none other than the man, the myth, the legend himself- Malisane Sadow. Mal has had plenty of experience in this field, and brought a lot of good ideas to the table, so we look forward to seeing what he can do in the role. Coincidentally, as soon as we appointed Malisane as Clan RM, a couple of CNS old-timers popped back out of the shadows- Sildrin Sadow and our excellent former Consul Bob both re-emerged into the limelight, which is great news. Welcome back to both of you!

-Operation: Doom Train scores look rather amazing- lots of people doings lots of stuff. I'll be announcing medals in the next couple of days!

-Unrest in the City is reaching the end of the current story arc- Deliverance is about to get royally slaughtered by you guys!

-Kudos for this month goes out to Cev Nabina for jumping into CNS life with both feet forward (and earning himself a couple of promotions in the process), and Malisane Sadow for becoming the new Clan Rollmaster. Congratulations to both of you, and well done everybody else who's picked up a promotion or medal this month!

Here be competitions, yarr. Get stuck in!

Now seems like the place to address the fiction at the start of this report. This news might surprise some, but as of the end of this month, I'll be stepping down from the position of CNS Consul. My reasons are very simple- I don't think I have the drive and determination that the position demands any more, and I don't want to simply loiter up here with my presence having a detrimental effect on the rest of the Clan. I've been thinking about this and planning out some kind of succession for a while; I didn't intend to step down until I'd sorted out who would follow me since to do so would undoubtedly damage the Clan. As you may guess from the fiction at the start of the report, I am very glad to announce that the mad Alchemist of CNS himself, Macron Sadow, will be succeeding me as Consul. I have every confidence in Macron, and I know that he and Tsainetomo will make a great team.

So, to end this report on a slightly maudlin note, I'd like to thank everybody in the Clan for being excellent people- you made my time as Consul very enjoyable, and leading you to such a nail bitingly close third place in the RoS was a great feeling and something that I am immeasurably proud of. Thank you all for everything, and keep doing what you're doing!

**KPN Manji Keibatsu Sadow (Krath)/CON-PROF/Naga Sadow

Consul of Clan Naga Sadow**

Thanks Manji, you've done one hell of a job

It'll be sad to see you step down, but you mark has definitely been left on the clan ;)

Your honesty when it comes to your resignation is really honorable, and I think you've done some great work for Naga Sadow. Good luck in your future endeavors, Manji.
