Greetings, It has been awhile.

Overall:

Some changes occurred in the overall summit. Recently, Xantros became leader of Team Caliburnus. A little less recent were the appointments of Rayne as head of Dorimad Sol and Archangel as our Rollmaster.

For those of you who wonder why we have a Rollmaster, he is the person who contacts the new members upon their joining of our house. Also, he remains in contact with these members bi-weekly until they are paired up with a Master (in our MSP (Master-Student-Program)) or until they’ve reached Knighthood.

Also, the positions of Praetor and Magistrate to the VOICE are open for applications. Check the newspage to see if you qualify.

Finally for those of you who are EQ2, there is a new requirement for those wishing to attain the next rank. In order to be promoted to EQ3, you need to mentor an Apprentice to their Knighthood via the House run Master-Student Programs.

AWOL Results:

We were (like all other houses) hit rather hard by this check. We went from 75 members to 33. I am however proud of your responses at it seems almost all of the active members responded in a timely fashion. As most Quaestors, I wish to take the time here to promote activity and cohesion. Indeed, we came out of this AWOL better then some houses and worse then others. We’re the average of the brotherhood these days. Sure we lost members, but not as much as others. Basically, this shows me we are doing something right. However it also shows the truth in the old adage that “There is always room for improvement”.

So, allow me to re-iterate two of the things I stated as PCON and later as QUA of our historic house:

1) If any of you have ideas for competitions (be they on the House, Team or even DB-level). Send them to us (Xen and myself) and we will get them to whomever has use of them. If you have ideas for topics for one of the VOICE’s monthly fiction competitions, send them to him (cc your summit so shineys can be attributed). If you want to run a competition for the House, for your own BT, or for the Brotherhood. Contact your summit and we’ll do whatever we can to make this a reality.

2) Help others, if you see a Housemate or even simply a member of the DB in trouble (a new member joins #db and looks to be a bit lost, someone wants to do DBgaming but doesn’t understand the rules, etc.). Help them, or point them to someone who can help them. Now I know I don’t really need to ask this of you since I am constantly amazed at the helpfulness of the members of this house, but I figured it needed being said.

Neutralisation:

We have our Aedile (Xen) to thank for this funfilled event. So props to him for all the time and effort he’s put into it! Week three of this Event is currently ongoing. Week three will end at 11:59 PM EST on Monday Night (February 7th). Also keep in mind that any gaming you partake in up to the deadline will be counted and that the Run-on is also still up and running.

Projects:

I’d like to highlight the following two projects this week:

• Kalak, our former Rollmaster is still working on compiling his Histories of Scholae Palatinae. If you wish to help him in this endeavour, then contact him and see what you can do.

• Korroth Karn, a former member who lives in HOU these days works on the fictional development of our dominion. He has already finished his Antenora fleshout and is currently working on our other planets. If you wish to help him, contact him and he will most probably put you to work.

• If you yourself have a project you wish to realise or a field you think we need to work on, then contact Xen and Myself and we will see what we can do.

Conclusions:

• Lots to do, lots of people doing it.

• AWOL over, we did ok (but there’s room to improve)

• Two projects highlighted, contact people if you want to help
