Also after talking to Halc, I've created a separate forums for the DB's use and for the Republic guild's use since we will be have a presence on both sides. Click here for forums

From my understanding, the guild creation program is going to place guilds accordingly across the initial servers. Right now they are in phase 1, and later Fremoc will have the ability to ally our guild with any other guild created so that in phase 3 when they do the placing: allied guilds will be on the same server, members will be able to know which server to join to be with friends right from the get-go, and ppl who want to use the name "dark Jedi brotherhood'" as a guild will be placed on a different server from all of us.
Honestly I'm quite impressed bioware as came up with this neat pre-launch setting. Now instead of fighting over what server we all want to be on our guild will be randomly placed with any form of whining from us :P kudos to them.
and big kudos to the guy that put the TOR banner on the news page, thats giving me a chubby already
The TOR banner on the front page is truly orgasmic :)
But yeah, Bioware's pre-launch guild set-up is fairly epic, love how they did it.
Orv did that, as well as put under our Communication Menu the TOR Guild Forums for everyone to register.
Also, we can be allied with guilds, but they plainly say that we may not be able to be dropped in the same server as our Allied guilds.
