the second part of this post has been prompted by quite a lot of inquiries about what crescent level would be appropriate, and a lot of denied competitions.

basically, the rundown:

1st level: DB wide competitions, involving a lot of work. usually, these are ran by DC members, and often involve seperate stages/tiers. think off large gaming ladders, or events involving different sub-competitions.

2nd level: DB wide competitions requiring a normal amount of work, or large clan or intra-clan events.

3rd level: regular clan competitions, or large house or intra-house competitions.

4th: the basic house competitions.

5th: battleteam competitions, and flash games.

not all of these are set in stone, and are more a guideline for what amount of participation and work is required. also, it is fine to run a series of 3rd level competitions in a series, and have a 2nd level overall award.

one thing which is set in stone is flash games. there will not be medals higher then 5th for those.

also, as crescent levels need to be downgraded when there are less then 3 participants, it is possible to upgrade them too, on a case-by-case basis, if you get lots more participation then was previously anticipated. in such cases, contact me and Dash before requesting the medals themselves.
