Greetings,
Just a quick news post to let everyone know who my new Praetor is going to be. I received a number of applications, making my decision more difficult than I had expected it to be. In the end however I went with someone who has shown tremendous potential in the past that I hope to nurture.
As such, please join me in congratulating Eiko as he takes on the job as my Praetor. I have also chosen a second Magistrate to help advise me and help out on the wiki side of things. I had wanted a veteran that I know I can rely on, so I chose Shadow Taldrya to fulfil that role. Both he and Eiko will work with me to expand on all DB and DC-based articles.
However, there will be plenty of opportunities for others to help out as we go along. Helping out on such projects, that affect the DB as a whole, goes a long way when it comes around again for Praetor or other Dark Council related jobs. Please don't be discouraged, as any help offered is both appreciated and noted.
Thanks again to everyone who applied, and may whatever gods he prays to help EIko :P

For the record, I was being completely serious. I'd have been floored if I'd actually been picked. I felt confident I could do the job - if I hadn't, I wouldn't have applied in the first place - but I'd still have been surprised if I'd actually gotten the job.
Now that I think about it, this is the first time I actually applied for a job in the DB. All my other ones I was asked if I'd step in in a pinch and I ended up sticking around for a while. :-P
All applications were very much considered and I went through them a couple of times before coming to my decision. Well, all applications except one, but I do not want to divulge the identity of that pole-like person so that it doesn't cause any embarrassment :P

Congratulations to both of you! I'd say Ol'Verde picked some pretty competent people and I look forward to seeing what Halc forces--err, has you do.
