(NOT THE) Voice of the Brotherhood Report

It was strange, walking through the hallways of the Dark Hall not as a guest, but as an employee. The last time the Miraluka had visited, things had been much different, though the office he was entering was the same as the last trip here.

This was where the Voice made his lair while putting his time in on Antei, speaking on behalf of Darth Ashen when the need arose, or seeing to his own projects, which was something considerably more common.

“We've found him,” spoke Incendus, an Arconan Journeyman who was putting his time in serving the Dark Council. Mirado had tasked him with tracking the hyperspace trail left by the Voice's shuttle with the sensors available to him. The Jedi Hunter had dug through the logs, and spent more time than he probably would have liked sifting through numbers and star charts.

Without looking up, for such body language belonged to those who actually possessed eyes, Mirado merely gestured with a “come on with it” motion as he used his other hand to fiddle with the holo-transciever. Regardless of the Sith's answer, he was going to have to contact somebody.

“Well,” the Hunter began again, sounding only slightly less enthusiastic than previously. “I think we've found him. Given the transport's fuel load, and last trajectory, the navigational data puts him less than a light year from the Zeltros system. The backup hyperdrive would have let him limp in.”

“Good work,” The Obelisk grumbled. “Your job is done here.” he added as he began dialing in the secure holonet frequency. Incendus exited the office, probably ready to move onto whatever other tasks he'd had on his plate, while the connection worked through from Antei to the Orian system.

As he waited, the Miraluka absentmindedly twirled credcoins through his fingers, impatient to make connection. When he did, his mood had not improved. “Answer something for me.” He said plainly.

“If I can,” came the treacly drawl of Masika Oshairana, a Zeltron woman he'd had business with in the past. “What's it worth to you?”

“This comes from on high, so nothing.” Mirado grumbled. “What's going on this time of year on Zeltros?”

The holographic image of the woman's face scrunched up as she thought about it. “Festival of Plenty,” she replied after a moment. “Big party, very wild, even by our standards.”

“That'll do,” Mirado said, and cut the transmission curtly. At the open door to the Voice's office, he'd just gotten around to noticing the Fist, who'd been lurking quietly for the past few minutes.

“Hundred creds says he's laid up drunk with some dancing girls.” Fremoc offered.

“No bet, I'm thinking the same.” Mirado grumbled.

Report Time!

I'll keep this short, I promise. Two new competitions are going live on the 10th of the month, called Search and Recover, and The Business End (of Sloth). Search and Recover is a very heavily comedy based fiction competition which has you looking through Zeltros trying to find the Voice of the Brotherhood, without getting caught up in the festival. (Thank you Ronovi for the suggestion) The Business End (Of Sloth) is the next in the 7 Deadly Poems competition, and has you describing the rarest of the rare, your character being outright happily lazy.

In the current running, there's still plenty of time left on “Showcase Your Power” and “Multicultural Darkness”, both of which offer some nice shinies, and give you the chance to go into more detail on your character.

Horizons is coming, and I'm excited as could be to see whats happening with it. When I first joined, a lot of what I'd heard was about the previous Great Jedi War, and then a few months later, I got to participate in Disorder. I still get a little pep in my step for these events actually The stories, the comics, all of it. It's where you can get your shot in making your name, and get a ton of awesome bling on your dossier. I really can't wait, and I hope I'm not alone.

Also, I've mentioned it before, but I have a Formspring (Found here) and I like getting questions in my inbox there. It's a fun little site that had some heavy use about a year or so ago, but it seems to have fallen out of vogue. That's kind of a shame, as it can be a powerful tool for writing.

Last on my list is a question for anyone who bothered to read this far. Read anything awesome here lately? Maybe a Clan/House RunOn, or a really awesome ACC Match (I already saw Dash Vs. Timeros for the Championship, by the way, and if you haven't, you should.) Anyway, I'm leaving comments open, so paste a link and share the wealth.

You always were the one to show me how. Back then I couldn't do the things that I can do now. This thing is slowly taking me apart. Grey would be the color if I had a heart.
