Brethren,

Eleven years ago today, a Sith High Warrior ascended to the Iron Throne with the blessings of the Emperor's Hammer. His ascension set in motion a series of events that would free the Dark Brotherhood and allow us to rule ourselves as our own sovereign entity. While those bonds that chained us to the Hammer have long since dissipated and comeraderie now remains, it is still a day worth celebrating.

On this day of retrospection, we also award the Seals of Loyalty. Those who are chosen are picked for their exceptional loyalty - not to their house or clan, but to the Brotherhood as a whole. These paragons of the Brotherhood are taken from a cross section of the membership, nominated by the Dark Council as well as the heads of the houses and clans. It is an honor that we only bestow twice a year.
