Happy New Years, Scholae Palatinae! Welcome to the first Quaestor Report of 2013. This is going to be a big year so let's kick it off right. There has been/currently is a lot of important stuff going on so please take the time to read through this report!

First off, the Post-Horizons feud with Naga Sadow. After a lot of hiccups in preparing the feud it was finally run and completed. Participation wasn't as stellar as I had hoped it would be, but it was also backing right up with the Christmas holiday. I want to give big shout outs to Archangel and Dante for being HSP's two biggest participants. Thanks for the great work you two.

Also I know some of you may be interested in the closing fiction for the feud, but Thran had to go on a rather lengthy holiday road trip with his family and hasn't had a chance to get it finished. I'll make sure it is emailed out once he finishes it.

As well I want to thank Locke and Atra for their efforts and willingness to work/put up with me in getting this feud going. This never would have happened without them. And finally, a massive congratulations to all the CNS participants and placers in the feud. Great work on your guys' fantastic submissions.

Summit Change

As previously noted in emails to the house, both our Aedile Xan, and Rollmaster Akatsuki, resigned from their positions and left for the rogues. Both were stellar members and leaders and I'm sorry that personal issues led to them having to move on from the DB. I hope one day they will be able to return, but until then I wish them the best of luck with their lives. Now this put the house in a bit of a bind and after a lengthy period of applications I am pleased to announce our two new summit members. Both are very well established HSP members.

First up is Xantros as our new Aedile. After taking a brief break from the DB he is back and ready to do his thing. Some of you may remember his time as BTL where he was pretty much boss at doing things.

Secondly, Koryn Thraagus (who was our BTL for Acclivis Draco) is our new RM. Koryn is another long serving HSP member who has always been stellar whether that be as a leader or general member.

I am very excited to have these two on our Summit. They both have great ideas and fantastic work ethics to help HSP continue to thrive and grow.

Once again, Order 66 is being executed in the DB, aka the AWOL Check. It is still running and will be through next week. By now all of you should have and email from the MAA with a subject of "[DJB AWOL] AWOL Check". Each member has a uniquely generated pin within this email (and a convenient link variant) to respond to this check. It takes all of 5 to 20 seconds to do (depending on your internet speed). Failing to respond to this check will result in your dossier being moved to the rogues. This removes you as an active member of the DB.

Now if that is what you want anyway, but haven't gone to the trouble of leaving manually through the site, this is your chance to have it done for you. However, I hope that this is not the case. I will have been a member of the DB for 9 years on the 13th. Over that time I’ve had a tremendous amount of fun and made a lot of really good friends. It is the goal of myself, and every leader, to have you find the same level of enjoyment here that we do. So I hope you decide to stay and continue on the crazy (but really fun) adventure that is the DB.

I have gone and individually emailed everyone who has not responded. There were several technical glitches, which are now resolved, I wanted to make sure no one had issues with this check. If for any reason you wish to respond to this AWOL check but have been unable to for any reason, please let me know what is going on and I will do what I can to make sure you can do so.

The Dark Crusade

As officially announced in the Grand Master Report, 2013 is the year of a very special series of vendettas. We will be waging war to reclaim famous planets from the Great Sith Empires of history. And yes, these are actual vendettas we are talking about. Unique seals, prizes and chances for glory will be up for grabs throughout the year as we progress closer to the next Great Jedi War. This is a new completely different style of vendettas that we have not ever experienced before. It will be fast paced and epic. Blood will be shed. Spoils enjoyed. And who knows what kind of spoils they will be!

Needless to say, I am pretty pumped for this to officially kick off next month! So should all of you. For the time being however, we are in a "prep" phase of the Crusade, with several Dark Council members running competitions to gear us up for what is to come.

Runon: Sarin has a sign up for this runon (Found here that will last from the 8th to the 31st. It is going to have to deal with the SSD Avenger II, and the winning team will be incorporated into some official DJB fiction!

Shadow Academy Corruption: The SA has some archived SA exams that have had their notes opened and posted in the Hall of Archives and Record that have been corrupted. There are secret messages in the 5 exam notes. I worked on this one yesterday and it was a great deal of fun to figure out. It is fairly quick and easy to work on so give it a shot!

Feel my Pain: A graphics competition from the Herald. Design a training target that your character could practice on for the upcoming Crusade.

FIST Game Training: While not a competition, the FIST and his staff are training people in the following games through out the month, ToR, Diablo, JO, JA, or Call of Duty. If you want to brush up on your gaming skills, take them up on this offer.
