Dark Sage in Writing

Looks like I just got a hat-trick on the News Page; oh well, sometimes you can't help these things.

Do you remember the Dark Sage in Writing course? It's back… with a vengeance. Oberst and Troutrooper are teaming up to offer this course and sign-ups are now officially open.

Given what is going on this year, there is never going to be a good time to squeeze this in so we're getting it done sooner rather than later.

I'll say this loud and clear: This course is not easy. If you do not KNOW that you can handle the work load of this course AND whatever large scale Dark Brotherhood competitions are going on, don't bother applying. No "if"s, "maybe"s, or "should"s. If you're reading this and thinking any of those, just stop reading now.

Specifics:

  • The course starts on April 1st, and ends on May 31st.
  • The course involves reading. Deal with it, lol.
  • The start date is not a joke.

To sign up for the course, email Oberst, Troutrooper and I. Include your Name and Pin in the email and make sure the subject makes it clear what you are emailing about.

Huzzah! An excuse to read something without personally deciding what it is!

A few questions: - Will the required reading be provided (perhaps via pdf) by the teachers? - Does one need some skill in writing to do this or can we start without a background?

^ what Ood said

I will be providing the required reading.

I would not recommend this class if you haven't taken the equivalent of a US High School level creative writing course. The course will delve into a lot of literary theory and exploration of evolving themes for your own writing.
