"It's been a long time guys, and for that I apologize. I've been through
a lot in a very short ammount of time and you all know how real life can just
take over very quickly. I'd like to thank you all for your patience with me during
my leave, and for each and every person who e-mailed me with support. I have a
wonderful group of friends here, and I'm honored to serve with you. I am glad
that you were confident of my return. I could never leave a club like this.
I unfortunately, didn't have the patience to go through and read/reply to all
of my e-mail. I have read everything that looked important, but i haven't replied
to most of them. If there is something you need me to look at, please mail me
again.
I will be working over the next few days to get up and running with the summit
again and to try and get ahold of where we are in terms of rosters and such.
I am in need of someone who can update the Taldryan eGroup for me. I will reward

In a fit of rage, the Grand Master threatened his computer, but the connection

In times long gone, Holocrons were the source of valuable and prized information
and knowledge, treasured by Jedi, from both the Light and Dark Sides of the
Force. The devices carried the thoughts, memories and personal experiences of
Jedi Masters, allowing their vast knowledge to be passed on to future generations.
Today, the Dark Brotherhood Holocron continues that tradition, by keeping students
of the Dark Side informed of events within the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi...
[Technical housekeeping]
It seems that a few people had difficulties with the HTML-formatted version
of the Holocron. It seems these are slightly more obscure email clients (like
Groupwise and Lotus Notes. Why the hell are you people reading DB news at work
anyway? :P) that seem to be displaying the problems, while in other cases, it
seems to be isolated incidents of it
not working with one or two people on a particular platform while it works for
everyone else. There's also the issue of the size of the HTML format itself.
The template is 17K and the version I emailed out is 27K. Because of the mechanics
of email, the actual amount of information sent by me and recieved by you is
closer in the realm of 35-40K. For an email with just text information in pretty
packaging, this is a lot of data to send and to recieve and is probably hammering
the group server pretty hard. So, I'll be using a text-only format from now
on. Onto the announcements...

Well, finally I have managed to purchase a laptop. Had to take the train to
Taichung to do it, but I've got one,
a network card, and all my graphics software installed. Now I just wait till
Monday (well... hopefully... maybe a
day or two longer... but I hope not) and I will have ADSL from home.
That means that I'll be on IRC more often (although it'll be at odd hours compared
to you western living folks).
It also means I'll be able to do things like graphics, etc.
In any case, I'll be very pleased to be back fully and hope to get things rolling
again here very shortly...
This is an addition to my "announcement" earlier...
I would like to take this time to announce that DGM Astatine and I have selected
the new KHP.
For those of you not in the loop, the last KHP, Voranyen, unfortunately had
to leave the spot. He will be missed.
We received a lot of applications, and the one we feel best fits the position
is KE Mairin. So I hereby grant the
position of KHP to her. Also conferred to her is the rank of KPN, as it is to
all those given an Order Leader
position.
Please join me in welcoming Mairin to the DC. I'm certain she will do us proud.

Complet I was running. Between when I mailed the summits and when it ended,
only one report mentioned the
competition. Two submissions were sent. I'll be expecting a much more rigorous
promotion of any future competitions. And simply forwarding the details isn't
good enough. :P

1) I'd like to remind everyone that I am still looking for beta testers. Their
main job will be to review submitted DB battles and missions. The more we have,
the faster we'll be able to go. When those missions are deemed ready for DB
circulation, we can make them available to the DB at large, reward the creator
and then send them for TAC approval.
2) The Avenger is back at 106 pilots and the Subjugator still stands at 1 (must
be one lonely commodore :P). The applications for WC of both Wing XIX and XX
are due today at the latest. We'll start interviewing the best candidates starting
tomorrow.

Ok I know it's been a while since my last report and I'm sorry. I couldn't
send through the e-mail server I was receiving from and I was too lazy to use
hotmail. Anyhow I've got this new e-mail address and I'm gonna make myself
write a report weekly again. Ok first off for all you who either don't know
and didn't get the e-mails or you've been on IRC and are just plain idiots,
then I regret to inform you that Kir has resigned as QUA. However, I'm sure
we can make do without him, so let House Dinaari prosper. Ok onto the news.
The HM is sorting through all SA exams quickly so luckily we're getting a few
new recruits. :) Also, the DSC test is up for those that were unaware. It's
available at the HM's website though I don't have the address here to post.
You should be able to find it on the DB website.
The website is more or less finished for those that have not noticed. I
update it with new news when I see fit and roster and brigade updates happen
the same day as I get e-mails from the MAA. I hope to add some PHP so that
many of these features will be automatic and even easier to update. I also
hope to add some Clan Taldryan graphics on either side of the House Dinaari
logo. Anyhow keep comments, ideas, and criticism flowing to my inbox.
Ok now that Kir's gone and there are no competitions I'm going to start trying
to get some fun activities started. If you have any ideas please send them my
way I'm open to anything.
Also, I'll be compiling a written report on how to get promoted to certain
ranks. One of the easiest things to do at the moment is to participate
heavily in the ongoing EH Ladder. I would really love to have Dinaari members
as the majority of the top spots on the ladder. It would look really good for
our house and would probably have recruiting benefits as well. Anyhow we're
doing well so far, so keep up the good work.
Guys let's get to work on the Operation: Mirror for Taldryan. I only have one
submission for the first part of the Obelisk section of this project. That
came from ACO Shadow to give him credit. I expect lots of entries and a whole
hell of a lot more participation. I'll be working on some stuff myself soon.

Here is the new system of QUA Escort for the approval of the house
leadership.
Each month the three battle teams will be going for the prize of QUA Escort.
With this prize will come along a nice graphic which can be used on the
squadron website and of course the
fact that they can show off to the rest of the house.
It would also be put towards another comp, which would be held once a year
in which the battleteam with the most overall wins would be declared
champions of Achanis and they would
receive many rewards from the house leadership and could then show off for a
whole year!
The system is modeled closely on the Avenger Wing Commanders own system but
it has been infused with a dark brotherhood type feel.
The system works like this every week Battleteam CMDR's will report what
they squadron has done and the amount of points earned this will go in the
CMDR's report if the CMDR does
not report then that battleteam loses all that weeks points.
Without further ado here is the point's for all activity (this is as full as
I can make it but you may want to add something)
Graphics: images, banners, animation, made "by scratch"= 6
Fiction: Stories, plotlines for missions, etc by the page = 5
Web Page design: "From Scratch" = 20
"Weekly Update" = 10
IWATS Courses all Courses= 15
Custom Made battles/Mission = 30 per mission
Each win at Achanis Training = 5
Pilot File Submissions: These will be 2 points per mission for non-Dark
Brotherhood battles and 4 for DB battles.
Winning comps with another squadron = 40
New member recruited = 15
Any other Brotherhood related activity will be at the QUA and AED
discretion.
Please note to claim the points for any activity all submissions must be
sent to the correct person and battleteam CMDR's must be cc.ed!
As an extra comp to run along side this each month CMDR's must keep records
of who has scored what points the most active Sith of all will be named the
Sith Champion for that month
and will be awarded a War Cross.
Normal medals will be awarded for high level of activity but this makes sure
if you are the most active you will get something.
Ok Squad CMDR's this start tomorrow so use this system to grade your pilots.

are due to the members using the Jedi Trials with out that they may not have
gotten their promo's so

1)Fiction writing- Ok Site power-up has shut down forever so we need a new
MSG board if any one knows of a place where we can get one lemee know and I
will get it set up. Until then
SH please post the most current Runon you have on the E-group and we will
continue there with it.
2.)Weekly XvT-XWA Comp-WR for each win and a SC for the overall winner for
XvT-XWA- I know some people said they would be happy to host this. So I need
a quick mail from
you folks to let me know what times you are available we might want to make
two of these comps to accommodate some of our Over seas members. Melee match
winners get a DC,
overall winner for each comp Platform gets a WR.
This is on Sundays from 2-4 EST on channel #archanis- Demos is hosting this
so please join us for this event..
6.) If you mailed me and I did not keep you at #1 then mail me and I will
change it bak :P Shups what this is for is to keep Track of how many weeks
its been since I have had a mail or one of
my Command Staff has had a mail from you. Or something that shows you are
alive. :P 1-4 if you get to 4 that prob already means you are on the way to
the Rogue list. J So just mail me or
ShadowHawk the AED or one of the CMDR's of the Battleteams and we can keep
track that way of how you are doing .
