First, I have to apologize for being a day late, but business trips took
time and I had home-coming times of 11pm and worse most of this week :-(

Anyway, off to the Aleema news:

ROSTER CHANGES:

We are welcoming three new members, one of which is one of the most
renown names in the entire Krath order:

DA Arania Lawakiro
GRD Lara York
NOV Elbwyn Dralic

Elbwyn should get promoted to ACO any day, he has passed the SA core.

On the more unfortunate side, KAP Adam Anderson has announced his
intention to go rogue at least for a while due to persisting internet
access problems. I sincerely hope his troubles will resolve and he will
rejoin House Aleema then. (I also hope to talk him out of it)

COMPETITIONS:

I have so far received clan feud submissions on the Krath topic from:

ACO Loor (Sith)
JH Azazel Djo'Tarr (Obelisk)
DJK Troutrooper (Krath)

In addition, my own is nearly complete (looking for the best possible
ending) and ACO Phantom will definitely also submit. Arania, Lara and
Elbwyn, care to make a last minute attempt ?

Troutrooper has also submitted an Obelisk graphic and three pilot files
- a perfect submission from an exemplary Jedi!

I shall remind you all that the deadline is July 16, so there just HAVE
to be more submissions out there! This weekend is the chance to make it
happen, Aleemans!

AWOL CHECK

Resonance to the AWOL check was so far pitiful. I will send out another
reminder, but I fear a loss of about six members due to AWOL will have
to be considered as a realistic figure.

OPEN POSITIONS

Due to Adam Anderson's resignation as Rollmaster, this position is to be
filled. Prerequisites are that you access the net at least once in 48
hours, that you can manage a Yahoogroup (you need a Yahoo ID for that)
and that you are willing to take an active role as the third member of
the House summit. Ideally you are of GRD or higher rank although I will
consider promising members of PRT status as well. Applications should be
directed to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), CC to CON Drako
([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). Please also CC AED War ([Log in to view e-mail addresses])
and acting AED Troutrooper ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]).

Due to the low level of active membership, I would also like to make
this an open application, maybe this way another motivated Jedi will
find the way towards our ranks. Upon equal or similar qualification,
however, existing House members will receive preference.

WEB SITE

A new Aleema site shall open as soon as I have enough submissions for
the Archive (which will definitely be the case with the close of the
Clan Feud) although major content additions (e.g. a decent House
history) will have to wait until after the big Vendetta as they present
excellent opportunities for competitions.
