Well, it's been another quiet week, with the biggest event clearly being
the GM's decision about Arania and its consequences for House Aleema:

STAFF AND ROSTER CHANGES

• KAP Adam Anderson has transferred in (back, he's been an Aleeman
  before) from Marka Ragnos, this had been planned for several weeks and
  now it was finally done.
  
• On order of GM Chi Long himself, DA Arania Lawakiro was removed as
  Tetrarch of the Spirits of the Night.
  
• KAP Adam Anderson appointed new TET of the Phyle, congratulations ;-)
  
• DA Arania Lawakiro now DA Elya (name change)
  
• We got two new members: ACO Maradis Jenkar (he already completed the
  SA) and NOV silent (who, after some trouble with the character history
  submit, seems to not have tried to work it again - Silent, can you
  update me on your status please ?)
  
• ACO Draken went Rogue :-(
  
• PRT Zhada Shorkan chose to end his DB career with a rather explicit
  resignation mail :-( x2
  

FISH FRY

To be honest, I don't have much to say this week (though some of you
will say I never say anything anyways). We have lost several good
Aleema members this week to RL and "other" calamities. I wish you all a
speedy return back here to your home :)

Because we are a writing house, I'm gonna give y'all some writing tips
that I've discovered. Of course, you don't have to do what I say, but
it may make you a better writer.

1. Practice makes perfect. The more you write, whether for competitions
   or just for fun, the better you will become. You may not realize you
   are getting better, but believe me, it shows. And try to be perfect in
   all your writing, on IRC, in email, wherever you write.

2. Read. Reading any published work (not stuff from the Internet, but
   printed materials) will improve your writing. You will pick up proper
   grammar skills, increase your vocabulary, and see how a good plot is
   developed. Also, read "classic" authors whose works are continually
   read. I prefer Steinbeck, Vonnegut, and Tolkein myself, though almost
   any famous writer will do.

3. Have someone critique your work. Before turning in any paper, give
   it to someone else to read over. This is perhaps the hardest act for a
   writer: willingly giving a paper to someone for them to edit. I hate
   it, but I know in the end my paper will be that much better. If you can
   give your work to someone else with the same assignment or in the same
   field, so much the better.

• I'm trying with Trev to finally find a House Envoy, some House members
  may be contacted by me soon...
  
• I'm working with KAP Sabé from Acclivis Draco to create some Krath MP
  events that will count as battles for the CSK/CSP training nights...
  
• There's some members I have heard very little of lately... and if that
  means you, why not throw at least a lifesign on the list ? I'd rather
  see you find that "reply" button on your mail without a formal AWOL
  check...
  
• If anyone of you feels in need of promotions, contact either your
  Tetrarchs who could both sure use help in building Phyle websites or the
  HRLD to make your Dark Voice submission or your ever friendly House
  Summit to find something else you could earn one with...

  Yes I have 

returned. I only have use of one
hand, but have gotten pretty good at typing with one
hand. I go next wednesday to see about getting it
fixed. Anyway on with the report. For those of you
living in a hole we took second place in the Vendetta.
We are now in an alliance with CSP which I have mixed
feelings about, but I know that it will only make us
stronger. I would also like to welcome 3 new members
to Kirleta and CSK they are: ACO Tre-Bosa (congrats on
getting through the SA so fast!), NOV Toma Tu'kla, and
NOV Thelea Jeth. That is it for this week!
