Quaestor Report

Edition #001 - February 23rd, 2002

*Hail.
And welcome to the first edition of The Week on HLK. This is your milk-drinking Quaestor, SBM Scithe, directly from my soft reclinable chair on Quaestor's Office (nice chair, Goatham...) to bring you the news about what's going on this nut-house known as House Ludo Kressh. *

First of all, I would like to thank everyone that enabled me to get on this very comfy chair and the opportunity to do a useful and interesting job for all people on the House. Second, I would like to announce that there will be no tours through the Quaestor's Office for public testing of my chair. In other words, the chair is mine and if some &*%$&^^#&#%$ put his lazy butt on it, I'll personally chop him off some precious devices... Third, on the news...

Activity
We are going pretty good on activity levels this week, I guess as a result of the huge amount of work offered. We've just finished some comps like the Kings of Tomorrow, some others are ending right now as you read this report, like the Trev's Artifact comp and Crimster Guardians. We even have some good deserving promos to award and, maybe, if things continue this way, we can award some more promos still this month. But don't worry too much, we the Summit are already planning much more work for ya... (did ya think we would get you fooling around, huh?).
One thing I've observed though is that most of the participation comes from Sapphire Squadron and some members on Diamond Squadron. I'm getting a little worried with some individuals on the House, both from Emerald and the UHG. People that were a living part of the House seem to be dying out of boredness... I hope the appointment of Darkmage as Emerald CMDR can really boost the activity level on the squad. To the people on the UHG (that people still not alloted to a squad, I mean...), well, get involved and enter a godammit squad. There's not much trouble to choose I guess, since there are only three of them...

On the Works
While you were busy trying to work out that TIE out of trouble, we the Summit, seated nicely on our comfy chairs were discussing some changes and future comps for the membership. One of them involves the ressurection of the Multiplayer practive among the House. It's true that we are not known as a good MP people, but and because of this, we the Summit had requested from our Emerald CMDR Darkmage to start thinking on a MP course for use of the HLK members in order to improve melee technics. Together with the training lessons, we are planning on opening a monthly comp for Multiplayer, just like the flying comp from Aedile Crimster. That would be good to gauge the level of people we have, mostly the new guys who haven't the opportunity to show us their potential on dogfighting.

That reminds me some people on the House didn't find out the proper use of the Kressh Fortress website database. Explaining in a simple way, I need everyone that still didn't go there to please enter here and fill your profile. I know the site seems weird at first view, but you'll soon find some logic in it. To have an overview of the Fortress, click on the Base Directory on the lower part of the screen. If you are GRD or under, you should be on some room on Level 8. If you're JH or DJK, try Level 11. SW+ are on Levels 13, 14 and 15 on the VIP rooms. If you are really hopeless and could not find your quarters after that, try the Rollmaster's Office (Level 13 - room 1301). There's a roster with the room assignment for everybody on the crew. Just click the number of the room beside your name. To those who have never entered the profile information, the temporary password is "12341234". Yep, that easy, that stupid... So remember to change it when entering your info.
Now you ask, "why am I doing it if I already have a profile of DjB?". Maybe you didn't realize yet, there are other info on the HLK profile that we the Summit and your CMDR will want to know and, most important, you'll need your ID# and password for access to the ladders on Tactical Room and the message board at the cantina. If you feel like talking nonsense, write it down on the message board and maybe someone can add to your idea. Kick some other HLK butt on a melee and make it count for ya on the ladder. Make that damn page useful...
Another thing, if you feel like to idle the Fortress and find an empty spot you think you can fill with something, be it a informative text or even a good set of pictures or anything else, please send me your proposal. It's a really imense work to fill all the places on this magestic construction, so I'll need all help I can. Medals on mailbox if you do something really interesting...

The Squads
This will be a quick overview on the reports from the Squad Commanders.
Diamond: The squad seems fine. Most people seem to be doing their homeworks and CMDR Bob is have a good time with them. some inactive people and one loss tough. Acolyte Raxell came out with a resignation letter from Diamond, by the way, a very weird one. I'm still to know from him why he's leaving us, but whatever his final decision is, good luck in advance for ya.
Sapphire: Coming from an excelent time after the Kings of Tomorrow, Sapphire is trying to keep the pace and is doing really fine. Janos is still looking for a replacement as XO since his former one is now Emerald CMDR. Also, the seal seems to be happy with his folks. Emerald: Is that me or didn't Darkmage send the report yesterday? Well, fine. He must be working on ressurecting the squad, a pretty hard job by the looks of it. Maybe he comes out with better news next week.

Closing Notes

Hey folks, what do you think of the logo I've punched out for this? Well, back to serious stuff, I really hope we can improve a lot through the time we'll be around (and it would help improve my image as good leader too... :P). If you have any issue, any kind of trouble, a question or simply want to send me to someplace weird, don't hesitate and click [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and say it. I can be sure you'll be heard (or read in this case) and maybe you can do a great favor to you and to me.
Well, enough babbling.
