Krath High Priestess Report

Greetings all, for this week. Quite a lot this time around, I'm afraid, so please bear with. ;)

1: GKW marking: this was delayed because of my dissertation. As the dissertation is nearly finished, and should be handed in next week, I'm hoping that I can get most of the marking done and dusted this weekend, and with any luck everything will be done by Tuesday. If not, then it should all be done before next weekend, touch wood. I would like to thank you all for being so patient at this time. It has really been way out of my control.

2: Monthly Topic and Monthly Poem results should be out fairly shortly as well. In the meantime, I have announced the next Monthly Topic; a Monthly Poem will shortly follow.

The Monthly Topic is "Redemption"; write at least one page of 12 point font and submit your entry in a .doc, .txt or .rtf file to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] AND [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Since Arion will be marking this topic, and I will be overseeing his marking, it is very important that you send your entry to BOTH of us please! As always, this is open to members of all Orders; medals will only be awarded if 10 entries or more are received.

3: Dark Voice: The Dark Voice is progressing well, and is almost ready for release. This is due, to a large extent, to the wonderful, wonderful work of my Praetor, KPN Arion Sunrider. He's done a marvellous job, and I'm really grateful. :)

4: The Big Script Comp: This is to write a "movie" script. We're hoping to turn the first three placed entries into actual animations/motion pictures if we get enough graphical geniuses to do it.

To submit, you just need to write a movie script of a minimum 10 pages in length, maximum 30 pages and submit it to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) AND KAP Kelvis Xavier ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). Again, since both of us are judging this in concert, it's important you send your submissions to BOTH of us!

The topic for the script is "Descent into Darkness" and should have a Dark Jedi theme. Everyone can take part, and you can work in groups if you want to. Please make sure you include all ID lines of those involved in your script with the final file so we know who to reward! Submit your script in .doc, .txt or .rtf format, zipped so our modems don't get choked up with massive files! The due date for this is 11.59pm EST 1st April.

I will be looking for a site with some tips on how to write movie scripts, and I'll post that once I've found one! :)

5: Could all graphical geniuses please contact me and KAP Kelvis Xavier ([Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses]) with a view to setting up teams to make the animations/motion pictures of the winning scripts of the Big Script Comp? We'd be really grateful, and lots of shiny dangly medals will be handed out for help and assistance rendered.

6: Finally, I would like to offer my apologies to you all. I've been a bit moody recently, what with dissertation stress and so on, and I have been a bit snappy to a few people. Unfortunately, with my darn bad memory, I can't remember exactly who, so if I have upset/annoyed/had a go at you recently for no apparent reason, then I'd like to apologise. Hopefully most of my stress-binge is now passed and things can get back to normal! :)
