WORLD NEWS:
-Yahoogroups is still acting up. Although I sent this message on
Thursday, I doubt anyone will receive it until Friday.

EH NEWS:
-FA Aiden Cantor Karias (aka AbsoluteK) is the new LO
-AD Ari turns 16!

DB NEWS:
-NEW SA CORE System! I suggest everyone learn the new SA CORE system as
soon as possible for recruiting purposes. Graduates will now be NOVs
instead of ACOs.

ORDER NEWS:
-Apparently, none.

CLAN NEWS:
-See order news.

HOUSE NEWS:
-Not much this week, which is probably a good thing.
-Both phyle comps are still on.
-As Arania intends on leaving (Das ist nicht so gut :( ), the house
will need a new webmaster. In order to give the RM something to do, I
am combining the two positions. Thus, the duties of the RM will be:
*Checking the rosters daily for changes to the roster
*Maintaining a version of the house roster for aleema.net
*Working knowledge of HTML (as in, you've made webpages before)
*Ability to transfer large amounts of Imperial Credits quickly and
anonymously to KAP Troutrooper and KAP Adam Anderson
Sorry about the change, but it is for the best. If you submitted a RM
application before, no need to resubmit. Applications will be taken
through the 31st.
-Also, if anyone is interested in continuing the Master-Student
program, let me and Adam know.

ACTIVITY REPORT:
KAP Troutrooper: went to San Antonio, ate lots, saw lots (including the
Alamo), came back early and avoided the smiting of San Antonio,
tortured his dachshund.

KAP Adam Anderson: kept Aleema civilized during TT's absence, threw a
huge party, still cleaning up the basement.

DJM Shups: got bored and vaped some people in XvT, took a nap.

DA Arania Lawakiro: started packing up her belongings, beat Kaiann up
for not cleaning the cat box.

KE Kaiann: still recovering from getting beat up for not cleaning the
cat box.

DJK Tatsu Kogarasu: sailed away, sailed home, anchored in Aleema.

JH Maradis Jenkar: busted a phat cap in some foo's arse! (I have no
idea what I just said there)

JH Tomaas Montte: became a TIE pilot after posing as one in the TIE
Corps.

JH Ziltopia: "Back the PENN!" (not the same ring as "Back in the
USSR!". I'll have to work on that)

PRT Darknyte: last seen with a handle of JD...

PRT Sayo Hirosho: beat the crap out of Yahoogroups for eating his
emails, took a bite out of crime.

PRT silent: I think he did something. Never heard anything from him, as
usual (Damnit TT! Stop that! That's the lamest pun ever!)

ACO Pendragon: joined Aleema, still thinking about how to deal with all
of us nutcases.

ACO Zerus, NOV Xrath Darksythe, and NOV Xander Starkiller: vanished?!

FISH FRY:
I don't watch a whole lot of TV any more for various reasons, and the
TV I do watch is either cooking shows or sports. But one show that is
growing on me is neither. "Beat the Geeks" on Comedy Central is one of
the funniest trivia show around. Much like "Win Ben Stein's Money"
(another classic Comedy Central trivia show and the standard by which
all comedic trivia shows are measured by), contestants answer questions
first against each other, then against the experts. In this case, the
experts are four geeks, one for each category: movies, music, TV, and
other (the other category varies from show to show, with topics like
the TV show "Friends", horror movies, and, yes, Star Wars). The
contestants get normal questions ("Name as many major Star Wars
characters as you can in 15 seconds"), while the geeks get impossible
questions ("Name as many actors who portrayed ewoks as you can in 15
seconds"). The contestant with the most points at the end gets to
challenge one of the geeks in the final. There, the person who gets to
7 points wins, with each question worth 1-3 points each.

(This makes a lot more sense when you see it in action)

What I like about the show is the questions. Sure, the questions the
contestants get are easy and normal, but the geek questions border on
insane. The geeks get the answers right about 75% of the time,
sometimes more, sometimes less. Question: Who gave up his seat to the
Big Bopper on the flight that crashed and killed the Bopper (answer
below)? That was actually an easy question for the music geek.

I forget when it's on, as I usually catch it when channel surfing. But
if you happen to find it, it's definitely worth the half hour :)
