Report #8 - 17 May 2002

Well, I just finished watching episode 2 and it's pretty good. Go see it, if you feel like it. :P

On a more on-topic note, activity is looking pretty shabby at the moment. I know RL tends to get in the way, but try to do something. It will keep me happy. (In particular, I'd strongly encourage participation in the final event of Sith Wars. See below for details.)

Squadron Orders

1. Diamond Squadron nickname and motto competition: Only one entry received so far; more would be appreciated.

2. Sith Wars (http://www.sithorder.org/comps/sithwar1/): OK, we're down to fifth place out of seven. This is a bad thing. Make me happy by participating in event 4. It's single-player, so I'm hoping we can do pretty well.

3. Monthly flying competition: Janos is running it this month, so send all pilot files to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses], CC [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

4. Monthly melee competition: Use the HLK page for scoring if you want to do this.

5. Krathy stuff (http://sa.ehintel.org/Krath/article.php?sid=58): As always, there are a couple of Krath competitions going on this month, open as always to members of all orders. See the KHP announcements, etc., for details.

Squadron News

Marcus Caine has decided to switch orders to Obelisk, because he feels that playing JK2 will be able to give him more variety from TIE Corps. He has received a deserved promotion to the rank of Jedi Hunter, and his order change request should be processed soon. This does mean that both flight leader positions in the squadron are now open, so let me know if you are interested. However, I will only consider those who have had higher-than-average activity levels in the past. (Marcus Caine, feel free to remove yourself from this mailing list whenever you want, or you can ask me to do it for you. Unless, of course, you get a peculiar thrill out of reading my weekly reports. ;) ) We wish you well, JH!
