Chancellor Report

It's been a busy week for me. First, I'd like to announce the appointment of my Magistrate, Destavol Gin of Archanis of Taldryan! His application stood out among the rest and I am happy to have him on my staff. He will be responsible for processing CFs from TIE Corps competitions as well as doling out Medals of Communication. If you have any questions in regards to those to items, please e-mail [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

After discussing the topic of Multiplayer Competitions with SHW Yacks, OHC Sharad and GM Firefox, we've decided upon the following measures when describing Multiplayer Competitions:

  • Clusters of Fire may ONLY be given for competitions where there are two separate parties involved. This means the competition, at least, must be a Battle Team versus a Battle Team, both of which must be from different Clans and Houses. Thus, House Archanis cannot hold a multiplayer competition and award CFs, or House Archanis cannot challenge House Ektrosis and award CFs.

  • A multiplayer competition is an event in which people participate in combat against one another using a sanctioned Dark Brotherhood Gaming Platform. Clusters of Fire are awarded for victories in such competitions, if the competition is a sponsored and/or sanctioned competition of the Dark Brotherhood. Two examples of a multiplayer competition are a Multiplayer Gaming Night and a Multiplayer Tournament.

  • Multiplayer Gaming Night: Members of the Dark Brotherhood freely join a designated meeting area, and may proceed to seek out matches in one of the approved multiplayer platforms against other members of the Dark Brotherhood. Matches are not assigned, and players are allowed to find matches, as per individual event rules. Clusters of Fire are awarded for individual victories, and these competitions have no distinct winners. These competitions are open to all members of the Dark Brotherhood, regardless of Clan or Order.

  • Multiplayer Tournament: Multiplayer Tournaments are competitions where people sign up for the event prior to it's beginning, and then proceed up a bracket style competition. Matches are assigned as per your ranking on the bracket, and you must play the assigned match, or forfeit your chance at

continuing on. These competitions have distinct winners, for which crescents are awarded, and Clusters of Fire are awarded for individual victories. These competitions are open to all members of the Dark Brotherhood, regardless of Clan or Order.

  • With Multiplayer Competition Nights, the maximum number of Clusters of Fire that may be given by facing ONE person is two. For example, if I fought Yacks in ten different battles, and I won five and he won five, we would both only get two.

I am also going to talk with COO Khadgar about setting up DB-only events through the Combat Operations Office. Hopefully, this will see fruition in the near future. As Clusters of Fire cannot be given for internal multiplayer competitions, and there seem to be a lot of said competitions cropping up, I am going to consider creating a new award for just that kind of competition. Expect more on that next week.

We now have images of the Crescent and Star of Eos, courtesy of Mejas Doto. You may find the Star of Eos here and the Crescent (it's a Ruby one) here. Mejas has been given a Star of Eos for his work, and his efforts are greatly appreciated. These images will soon be inserted into the Dark Side Compendium.

Finally, Dark Voice 28 will be released this weekend. I will begin taking submissions to DV 29 on Monday.
