Sith High Warrior Report

Sith High Warrior Report for Week Ending August 02, 2002

Weeeeeeell it's been a busy busy week in the Sith Order. Why? I dunno, read the report and you'll find out! Basically you should be able to tell from the amount of news posts that are under this here report, if you're viewing this on the DJB.org News Page, or on the SithOrder.org News Page, but otherwise, reading this report will tell you why it's busy. And yes, I do realize I'm babbling, but that's what makes this process fun. Now, onto some structure report stuff, before I start detailing how to make my famous jerk chicken for no apparent reason.

1) TOP GUN TOURNAMENT HAS BEGUN! That's right folks, the tournament to decide just who is the best of the best within the Dark Brotherhood in the terms of Multiplayer flying. News posts have been put on SithOrder.org and DJB.org to describe it, as well as you may make use of the url at http://www.sithorder.org/topgun/. The current stage is what is called the Qualifying round. This is where you combat the other members of your House to see who has earned the spot to represent your Houses in the final single elimination tournament, which will take place immediately after this round is completed.

2) SithOrder.org is Operational.. After some long hours of coding this week, I finally finished the site. A few things of my own still have to be edited, but they don't have any bearing on you people, the users. The most important function of SithOrder.org in my opinion is the suggestion box. This is where you can send a suggestion in, anonymously or not, and have it sent directly to the SHW, where I can evaluate it and maybe make use of it. Other functions include tracking of the fighters that DB Squadrons use, as well as House Possessions, House Rankings, and Battleteam Industrial Points-which are used in the creation of new custom fighters.

3) My Magistrate Hades and I continue to hammer out details on the upcoming Single Player Competition, the Sith Squadron League. It is looking more and more interesting as days go on. I might even try to convince Tau Squadron to join up, just to add a little more flavour - but no promises. Most of the layout and structure have been decided on, all that we're looking at now is developing a release date, and briefing the House QUAs and AEDs on what they need to do... after we first ask them if they're willing to do anything, that is :P

4) NEW SITH ORDER COURSES! YEEHAW! Yeah I know, I seem to be saying this a lot recently, and it's with damned good reason. There are two Sith Order courses nearing completion, the Sith CORE, and the Sith Single Player Tactics. SP Tactics should be getting sent off to the HM for approval any day now, and the CORE exam writing is still in process... this one's gunna be a DOOZY!... To top all that off, following the unbridled success that the other two Engineering courses have seen, I have approved the creation of yet another course, this time based on Capital Ships. While Magistrate Hades is working on other projects at the moment, DJK Brian of House Ronin has decided to try his hand at course writing!

5) Dark Brotherhood Multiplayer Takes a Step into the Future! That's right people, in my ever expanding quest to bring more and more Multiplayer activity to the Dark Brotherhood, yet another step in the right direction has occured! Working closely in conjunction with the OHC, the CHAN, and the members of the Combat Operations Office of the Emperor's Hammer, Dark Brotherhood Competitions are now being added to the Emperor's Hammer Combat Calendar! Anyone who is serious about Multiplayer gaming in the Emperor's Hammer knows of, and often visits the Combat Calendar, and this is just one more way we can up our exposure to the Emperor's Hammer online gaming world. You can view the Combat Calendar here: http://www.emperorshammer.net/combat/calendar.asp

6) New Multiplayer Competitions! To go along with the newfound co-operation between the Dark Brotherhood and the Combat Operations Office, a new Brotherhood Gaming Night has opened it's doors! Sith Bloodlust is a competition hosted by the Sith High Warrior's Office. It is held Thursday evenings in #EHCOC at 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time, and ends at 9:30pm EST. Another new competition is currently undergoing revision, and will hopefully be added in time for it's first night on Sunday. More details will be released when they are finalized.

7) Yesterday I got the sudden urge to install TIE Fighter, and play one of the few custom missions we have in the Dark Brotherhood. So there I was, CD Brushed off, Game Installed, Joystick oiled and screws tightened, and I played the mission. Not only did I play the mission, I played it from start to finish, and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. So I got to thinking, "maybe I'll do this more often!", and then I got to thinking... we only have so many missions, and I may eventually run out of them... So basically, I WANT MORE MISSIONS! MORE MORE MORE! If you fit into one of the following three categories, please email me. (i) You can program missions, and would like to program them for the Brotherhood, even though you may or may not have ideas for plotlines. (ii) You cannot program missions, but you would sincerely like to develop new plotlines for Dark Brotherhood battles. (iii) You can't program missions, but you'd like to learn how, and then you'd like to program missions for the DB. Remember, my email, as easy to remember as it is, is [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

8) A Reminder to Tarentum, Naga Sadow, and Arcona... your feud ends within a week, get all of those MP matches and Single Player Pilot files into me as soon as possible! The email addresses are up on the feud main site, and from there you should be able to make sure the files get into my mailbox!

9) I have recently composed a Mission Statement for the Sith Order. This is basically just the vision I see of the Sith Order, and how I intend to lead us to see the fruition of that vision. Remember though, the most important part of my vision, is an Order that has all of it's members contributing actively to the development of their Order, and enjoying themselves thoroughly. That is my vision, and that is my dream. You can view the mission statement on SithOrder.org under the "about us" heading.

10) Congrats to DGM Astatine on being Ast!

...Okay, I think that pretty much means I'm done for this week. It was a big report, but a lot of big things have been happening in the Sith Order, so I hope you all realize why it had to be this big. Besides, it's almost 8am and I haven't slept yet, so I should probably hit the hay.

Oh, and always remember, it takes two to tango, but only one to fall on their ass.

Fly Fast and Shoot Straight,

Sith High Warrior,

Warlord Keirdagh Cantor
