Sith Order Report for Week Ending 16.08.2002

Well what can I say? I’m now at the age of majority in Canada, and yesterday, I drank myself into two or three stupors and am now just starting to recover. So this report may be a short one, I’m not sure. Anyways, to any and all well wishers, and even those people who are using voodoo dolls to kill me faster, thanks!

1) Sith Squadron League (SSL) has started! This is being run by my Magistrate Hades, and looks to be a very promising competition. The first round is a TIE Fighter round, but don’t worry folks, XvT and XWA will also be played in rounds to come. Industrial Points will be given out for this event, so all the Squadrons can look forward to building their first flight of Starfighters.

2) As stated above, you may have noticed that I said “flight” of Starfighters. This is all part of my attempts to bring more value onto the Starfighters we as Sith fly. Part of the reason why Sith pilots are better than regular TIE Corps Pilots, is the fact that we are attuned to our surroundings, and as such, in flight, we and our fighters become one. You need to learn to value your fighter, for it’s capabilities. So building super fighters is going to get harder. If you look at the Creation Page, it should be obvious that some changes have taken place. This is for the same reason as above; it’s more realistic as well.

3) SITH TOP GUN: This competition is still going on, and in fact has been extended by a week, due to generally pathetic level of participation. It should not be hard to get online, talk to some of your Clan mates, and get a match going. You should be doing this already, so why this competition is so much of a challenge, I can’t understand. Current Stats are below:

Archanis: 4 Matches (4 XWA)

Caliburnus: 0 Matches

Galthain: 4 Matches (3 XvT, 1 XWA)

Ludo Kressh: 1 Match (1 XWA)

Oriens Obscurum: 5 Matches (5 XvT)

Tridens: 0 Matches

Ronin: 3 Matches (1 XvT, 2 XWA)

In the case of all the Houses who have played games, the same person was involved in every game. For this, I’d like to congratulate the following, in recognition of their efforts to play in this competition: Philo of HOO, Wil Striker of Ronin, Drak of Archanis, and Shups of Aleema – that’s right, ALEEMA, A KRATHIE IS PLAYING MORE THAN ALMOST THE ENTIRE ORDER.

So as you can all see, I’m a little pissed off about these results thus far, and if it doesn’t turn around a lot before this week is done, heads are going to roll.

4) SITH ORDER STUDIES: The two courses I’ve been promising are now complete. The Sith CORE is completed, and is just waiting for the exam to be HTMLed by the Headmaster. The Sith Single Player Tactics course was recently completed and sent to me for evaluation, and thus, I’ll be forwarding that course onto the Headmaster for his approval soon.

5) SithOrder.org -- Because I’m a bumbling baffoon, I’ve somehow managed to screw up my news script on the website. As such, nobody can post news for a little while, including myself. But when I fix it, all the QUAs and AEDs will be able to post news, which apparently you couldn’t do before - my bad.

6) Congratulations to DJK Kane Reese on being appointed Aedile within House Caliburnus.

7) Congrats to Pandragon, SubZero, and Sapphire squadrons who respectively took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Arcona/Tarentum/Naga Sadow competition.

8) Lots and lots of questions have been coming to me lately about how Squadrons can earn industrial points, and the answer is actually quite simple: Through Competitions! Squadrons can compete against one another in Squad/House/Clan comps, and so long as someone keeps track of the Squadron placings, and the competition is registered and approved by the DGM, then I will award points. It’s always better to mail me and ask though, because if I have no prior notice of something, I’m not likely to give out points.

9) Just to FURTHER Clarify, You can report matches for the Top Gun tournament despite where you played them. If you played them for a TC Training Night, or for a feud your Clan is in, so long as both of you are Sith (or sponsored by a Sith House) and in the same House, you can report the match to me.

10) Just a reminder to check the competitions page on SithOrder.org for any current or upcoming competitions within the Sith Order, and to keep an eye out for all the Sith Order Multiplayer Competitions!

That’s it from the SHW’s Office this week folks.

Fly Fast and Shoot Straight,

Sith High Warrior,

Dark Adept Keirdagh Cantor
