Krath High Priestess Report

Krath High Priest report, yippee!

1) Lovely, lovely Praetor Cooch has volunteered to run some topics for you people for this month, which is fab! The fiction topic is "A Thief" and the poetry topic is "The Hunger". Apparently Twi'lek dancing girls are not appreciated... although I'm sure you could change his mind on that. ;) Send all your entries to him by 31st August, and please make sure that your mail topic is Krath Monthly Topic - Fiction/Poetry (delete as applicable), but please PLEASE make sure you remember the stars!

2) Due to the theft of Cooch's laptop scores for the clan feud have been delayed somewhat. They should be out by next Friday now - the extra delay is because of something else. :)

3) Yes, I know you haven't had July topic results yet. They'll be done by next Friday.

4) I am on leave as of Sunday afternoon until Friday evening. This is because I have a training course to attend in London for my new job and will not return until Thursday night, then have to put in a full day of work the next day. I will be taking my laptop with me, and may be able to answer emails if the hotel I'm staying at has internet access, but don't count on it. If there's anything urgent, then please address it to Firefox or Astatine. Other than that, it gives me a good opportunity to get caught up on some DB work.

5) The Murder Mystery League MkII will be starting shortly. I have decided not to write all the scenarios myself because a few people told me that last time around that was the most fun bit! I must impress on you all how important it is to maintain secrecy amongst the Houses. Therefore I will be requesting from the MAA that he put a hold on all inter-Krath House transfers for the duration of the competition, which should be about 9 weeks maximum always assuming that all Houses take part. I will be contacting Krath House summits in the next week or so to explain exactly what will be expected of Houses and when so that you can start planning ahead. Again, remember that what you write as a House will be something that other Houses will be expected to solve. Telling people from other Houses how your scenario works is not only cheating, it's ensuring that your House won't win the competition. I'll be coming up with some funky artefacts as prizes for the competition as well, so you wouldn't want to miss out on those! I anticipate beginning this competition in September, providing that the GJW hasn't popped up by then.

6) I'm going to try running a fun mini-comp for all you people who want to try it out. The idea is to write an acrostic poem using the words "Progressive Computer Recruitment" (the name of my new workplace), telling how terrible the life of a working girl is. :P Acrostic means that you will start each line of your poem with one of the letters given in the title - your 1st line will start with "p", the 2nd with "r", the third with "o", yada yada. The three most amusing poems will be awarded medals. Send me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) your poems by next Friday night (23rd August), and the results will be in the next KHP report.

7) Krath Summits, don't forget that you need to be running AWOL checks as of NOW for this month and sending me results at the end of it (31st August). If you don't do it, I will start issuing nasty warnings. If nasty warnings are not heeded I will start talking to Consuls and being a generally mean-KHP (tm). Don't push me - I'm not nice when mean. ;)

8) A few changes in Krath Summits this week. Goodbye to KAP Sabé who served as QUA of HAD, and welcome on board to DA Mejas Doto, former Headmaster, now QUA of HAD to replace Sabé.

9) Krath Wargame coming after the Mystery League. Be prepared... for a bloodbath!
