A hush fell on the small, dark room like a cloak across the collective shoulders of the four people gathered there. Seated on simple yet comfortable chairs in the nearly empty phyle meeting room, the tyros of Drynwyn's Flame looked intently at their Tetrarch, the impressive Chiss scholar and warrior, Krath Priest Khaen.

Khaen made his way gracefully to the desk at the front of his phyle's meeting room. From underneath his simple black robes there emanated a strong aura of both absolute calm and idle ferocity. This was one man- or alien as the human mainstream population regarded him- who could best most any warrior or scholar who sought to challenge him.

Stepping up the one stair to his elevated desk, the tip of Khaen's foot snagged on the protuberance. Khaen silently cursed the laws of physics as the reaction jolted him onto the floor to land on his elbows. He quickly got up and sat behind his desk, struggling to hide the blushing that threatened to wage war on his cheeks.

"Someone should put a sign there," volunteered Dark Jedi Knight Titus, a comment to which there was an uneasy laugh around the room.

Khaen nodded with a slight smile, shuffling his papers in preparation for the weekly phyle meeting and vowing to put a hold on any promotion or medal recommendations that came in for Titus in the near future.

-The 2nd Krath event for the CSK/CSP feud has recently been announced. It is creatively titled "K2". I'm sure you all have the starter fiction saved on your hard drive, and are all in the process of writing up your submission :D If we get 100% phyle participation it will make one happy Khaen. And happy Khaens are good. It's in the law.

-QUA Mejas has started up a pair of 'warm-up' comps to acquaint himself with HAD. One is a motto comp much like the one I am running in DF now, the other involves coming up with funny captions to match some pictures that Mejas has uploaded to his site. -The Drynwyn's Flame motto comp has been approved. Skip over to: to view the details. It finishes on Tuesday the 27th, so the winner will be announced in next week's report. That winner will receive a Crescent w/ Topaz Star (Cr-1G) and have their creation, their legacy, nay their very SOUL immortalised as the motto of our truly wondrous phyle.

I'll expect a couple of mottos submitted from all of you, as I'm quite hungry. To reduce pollution, I'll be eating all the ones that don't win.

-DJK Titus won AED Loor's "Funny Story Comp", with standing ovations. I thought his little jingle was so funny I'm going to post it here again!

"Acclivis Draco, we're a bit of a laugh.

Most of us are smart, but some are quite daft.

Our Quaestor, Sabe, retired today.

How dare you leave us! Be on your way!

Loor the Aedile, will soon take over.

If only he'd move, his ass off the sofa.

I s'pose that's quite harsh, I barely know him.

First time I saw him, I damn near shot him.

Khaen held me back, the noble Krath Priest.

Underneath his robes, he's a savage, savage beast.

Then there's me, Jedi Knight Titus.

"Oh no!" they cried, "he's going to fight us!"

I wasn't really, I was just joking around.

But all of a sudden, Corde released his hound.

To protect my self, I stomped on its face.

Then kicked it away, what a disgrace!

I've been hated ever since, by Corde and his brood.

It probably doesn't help, that I'm also quite rude.

I insult everyone, even the Grand Master.

I sent him an e-mail, said he was a bastard.

I signed it as Corde, and he got the blame.

I also incriminated my good friend Khaen.

No, not really. Once again I'm lying.

To the Sith with me! I’m better at flying."
