House Ronin Aedile Report – 10/30/2002

Greetings House Ronin! This as many of you know is my last week as the AED of House Ronin as I have been chosen to fill the previously vacant position of Proconsul for Clan Alvaak. Of all the Sith Houses I have served in, House Ronin has been by far the most fun and exciting! No House is without its problems, but time and again those of you who have stayed loyal have proven that any problem can be overcome and resolved effectively. In the last few weeks alone we have made great strides in removing inactive pilots, creating new programs, and overall changing the future for this House. Only through loyalty, dedication and determination can such activities be accomplished, and I foresee House Ronin continuing to grow stronger as the future dawns. This will be my last report as a member of the House Summit in House Ronin, but you can be sure that as PCON you will here even more from me as I work hard to not only see House Ronin become more successful, but each of our sister Houses within the First Clan of the Dark Brotherhood!

I also want to thank everyone that has emailed or spoken to me on IRC today offering congratulations on the announcement of my being chosen to be the new PCON! It goes without saying that your comments are a great inspiration to me. I promise I won’t let you all down in my new position! J

SWL Nightflyer has submitted his resignation as QUA of House Ronin. This resignation becomes effective immediately, and he has also decided not to remain within House Ronin, but instead has requested to be assigned to the Rogue roster. Privately SWL Nightflyer has provided his reasons for taking such action, and while I completely disagree with his assessment of the situation, I wish him luck in whatever future the Dark Brotherhood holds in store for him. I honestly wish he would have reconsidered and stayed as a FM in House Ronin since this House truly needs all of the experienced pilots it can acquire. However his mind appears to be made up and his resolve is set, so I expect that the House will continue forward and work together as always!

With the resignation of SWL Nightflyer as QUA, and my elevation to PCON, House Ronin will be temporarily without a House Summit. I will however continue to answer any questions and resolve any issues until the new QUA and AED are in place. Feel free as always to contact me with anything, my door will always be open to everyone in the Clan at all times! As for the new QUA and AED, I can only say that I did submit a name to the CON for a new AED, but have not yet heard back on what he has decided. As for the QUA, I believe it will probably be opened to applications, but more info and news on this after I have spoken with the CON.

This week a new pilot joined our ranks, from House Tridens no less! I’d like everyone to give a warm welcome to JH Linoge! JH Linoge is also known as CPT Linoge in the TC, and is a recent addition as CMDR to Wing XIV! I am very impressed with the level of activity and dedication that Linoge has demonstrated so far in the EH, so his transfer to join House Ronin is indeed greatly appreciated! He has decided to join Black Omega, surprisingly since B.O. just recently gave his old Battleteam quite a pounding in a competition. LOL In any event, welcome to House Ronin JH Linoge! I know transferring to a House with a sudden loss of a House Summit seems like a bad sign, but in reality things are only going to improve more for House Ronin! J

Not that this following message actually involves anyone within House Ronin, I just wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t mention it anyway. Recently an incident occurred during an EH MP Event where two members were engaged in a JK2 match on the CSK server. During the match two other members broke into the match and proceeded to engage in their own match, and at the same time also affected the previously ongoing match when they began attacking the two original combatants. The two members that caused this problem were told immediately upon their arrival that there was an official match going on, and the response was nothing less than totally rude and uncalled for. As I said, this doesn’t directly involve anyone within House Ronin, but I wanted to let everyone know that at all times I expect the members of this House to show respect and civility to their fellow members during competitions, and any other online activities. It just goes to show that some people get a real joy out of causing chaos and mayhem at the expense of other people. I know that each of you in House Ronin are respectful and honest, so all I ask is that in the future you keep an eye out for any such behavior and report it immediately if the members involved refuse to cease their dishonest activity. Lets try to work together to keep our competitions and online MP events as clean and fair as possible. ;)
