Dark greetings to everyone.

 Wow, this has been a frenzy week! HC Flying comp, HC trivia, the new

ladder competition and again, medals, promotions and such. Once again, special thanks to Kane Reese, DM and Saitou for helping me to deal with all this chaos :-)

HOUSE STATUS

Rollmaster and Nightmare CMDR appointed

      Congratulations to DJK Aeishline, new Rollmaster of House

Caliburnus! Starting from the next week DJK Aeishline will be responsible to mark HC Training courses and to keep the Summit updated about Master-Student program. She will also recommend to me and Kane Reese awards and promotions for people following the MS program.

DJK Dolza is the new leader of Battleteam Nightmare, congratulations!

Do not forget that Nightmare was my former Battleteam so...keep that squadron in shape! :-)

 Round #5

of HC Flying competition ended few days ago and I must say it was a close challenge. Nightshade won this round with 49 points while Nightmare scored "only" 46 points. For some reason, after many good performances at HCF, Nightshade didn't submit a single pilot file this time, I hope this won't happen again!

  However,

I'm quite disappointed by the overall House participation to the competition. Only 6 pilots out of 25 participated! I'm aware that some members may have busy RL but AED Reese and I aren't asking you to complete 20 battles at week. The mandatory requirement is to fly at least 1 free mission every 2 weeks, do you know how does it take to fly a single mission? Approx. 20 minutes for XWA and XvT, even less for TIE (with time acceleration) and if you don't have 20 minutes of spare time in 2 weeks..well, why did you join the Emperor's Hammer?

Besides that, on IRC it was reported to me that some people refuse to

fly because they can't submit good scores. Let me say two words about that, a Battleteam (or a squadron) isn't made only by Ace pilots, a good score is simply useless if participation rate is low. Don't be afraid of flying even if you don't get medals or High Scores, no one is going to have fun of you and even a low score is better than a 0! Moreover your participation can help your Battleteam earn Industrial Points (IP) and the more IP your BT earns, the more advanced your custom fighters will be!

Communications

Thanks to SBM Tiger, Caliburnus has its own IRC channel. I encourage all of you to join #caliburnus (Undernet servers) and have some chit-chat with other members of the House. Also, I'd like to see more activity on our forum, go there and start to post :-)
