[Nearly a week had passed…]

_Pyralis ran furiously between the tall, great trees, trying to keep his distance from the trio of pursuing four-legged predators. Native to Desalmado, the Paklixo was known for is relentless tenacity. It was over twice Pyralis’s height – maybe about 3 meters tall. It had a large feline structure – but very muscled. The row of teeth were deadly and could instantly dismember anything it bit. Its claws were nearly 6 inches long and its body mass was simply overwhelming. It had survived the rigors of the Dark Forest, becoming somewhat attuned the Dark Side on Desalmado. It had Jedi speed and reflexes…and now, all three ran at the Battlemaster.

Pyralis forced jumped onto a tree limb, grabbing a vine and swung backwards. Just as he landed behind one of the Paklixo he ignited his crimson lightsaber and thrust it into its midsection. It let out a defeaning cry which permeated the forest. There was no light in the forest. The dense foliage totally blocked out all light. The cry faded into the depths of the forest. The two Paklixo leapt forward toward Pyralis, but Pyralis had other plans. He jumped into the trees above and stood on the limb, concentrating on a nearby fallen timber. He had been focusing his powers onto objects deep within the forest. Using their force essence to derive his strength and defend himself. Now, he raised the tree with ease, contorting it with his mind while the Paklixo purred a rumbling impatience. Pyralis closed his eyes, and held his hands above his head. The timber fell and Pyralis thrusts his hands, screaming, and clenched his fists shattering the tree into a million wooden shards falling like spikes during the execution of Rebel insurgents. The Paklixo had nowhere to go and all that could be heard was the sound of crushing bone and the cracking of broken splinters.

But it did not phase him, and Pyralis continued to run… He wore his dark robes, smothered in the darkness of the forest. His lightsaber at his side. He ran and ran and ran. But, he knew not where he was going. The dark forest covered most of the planet. It clouded his instincts and he was blind. He ran only with the Dark Force as a guide. But he did not know where he ran to. He did not know why he ran. Soon, he came to a clearing in the forest. It was rather odd to see this in the midst of all of the thickness…but there was something familiar about this place. He had been here before. Or was it in his dreams? This place held a special significance to him, and so, he sat.

Although in a clearing, this place was darker. Still covered with the darkness above, but there was something darker here… Pyralis sat upon a large boulder in the midst of the clearing. He meditated, reaching into himself for the answers. Then, he felt a presence. He opened his eyes to see the dark fog gather towards him in all directions. It was the darkness he had observed with Lord Ricardo high above Desalmado in the Dark Hall.

The darkness spoke to him. It called his name, just as the forest had done before. The whole week, nothing like this had happened. But now, his judgment was at hand. The mist creeped up towards him. Pyralis meditated, sending the signal of absence, of non-existence, of a great Darkness… But it did not stop. It was more powerful than him. More powerful than anything Pyralis had ever felt. It slowly enveloped Pyralis. Pyralis breathed and the darkness entered. He felt it merge with his very soul. He and the darkness were one. Pyralis reached within for the strength of the Dark Side. Within, the missing links had been found. Just then, he felt another dark figure come at him, a dark entity, but Pyralis had seen it before he sensed it and was ready. A powerful field formed around Pyralis’s body. He did not see, but felt the direction, and used his mind to focus and expel the energy from his body. A charged spheroid erupted and undulated at its target, an unsuspecting Kinkina of the Dark. Rushing at Pyralis with its razor sharp talons, it was blasted backwards falling to the ground. It had completely absorbed the dark energy. Pyralis only knew his foe had died a horrific and painful death.

Pyralis regained control, looking around to see a charred being strewn 5 meters beyond on the ground. This mist had gone and his vision restored. He looked beyond, and saw the Dark Hall in a vision. Pyralis ran towards his thoughts. The was Darkness within, and now, the mysterious Forest’s secrets known to him, he ran without fear, without worry. He had conquered the Forest once again. Now, a Darker Darkness was ahead, the trees thinned out, and he emerged from the Forest. He looked above, but there was no star light. He looked towards the Dark Hall so far away, yet somehow so near.

The black clouds above moved swiftly, the wind picked up and blew harder. Pyralis stood, his hands to the sky again, the lightning struck, and Pyralis focused. It struck down to the surface, and Pyralis absorbed it. He levitated, pulling more energy from the darkness, pulling himself from the ground slightly, gathering the power and strength of the planet. He sucked the Dark Energy from surroundings…

Finally, the discharge ceased and Pyralis collapsed to the ground… unable to move, disabled by the Darkness, Pyralis slept…the ensuing storm dealt its rage to the surface of Desalmado, Pyralis exposed to the dark, cold, wind…_

Special note on promotions and medals: I am absolutely amazed and thrilled by the amount of promotions and medal requests that I thought were entirely warranted and deserved this week. I have NEVER in my entire Emperor’s Hammer career thought that MORE people were deserving of personal reward that this past week. For a week that was so close to finals, I am utterly dumbfounded by the massive amount of activity. House Galthain, you are amazing… You are the future of the Brotherhood…

Also, I have made contact with Admiral Marcin Szydlowski about the high score and both he and I have come to the consensus that a score between 50,000 and 60,000 is the highest possible score. He says that the current high score was impossible in agreement with me. So, the point values for the percent high score will be altered as soon as he emails me about the official decision and high score replacement…

House Galthain, I have promises from MANY of you that still have to fly. Do not fail me House Galthain, for this is the ultimate test of the activity that will force the Brotherhood to reevaluate the standing of House Galthain among the Brotherhood!

This is another major opportunity for House Galthain to show its large TIE Fighter presence. I know many of you have TIE95, but I’ve heard a few of you that don’t have the platform. If you have TIE95, do your absolute best to fly it ASAP!! The competition mission is due in less than 18 hours!!! :)

"Worth it?!" – A Clan Satal Keto Competition

This is the new CSK competition as suggested by our ProConsul: Gord Darkonian. The competition has been approved and will be released on Monday, December 9th. There are 3 phases and each order gets to do something new and exciting in each event! That’s all the details I’ll release for now as the SSL and Tridens comps are much more important at this stage!!! Just be aware that we will be having a major Clan competition taking the place of House Galthain versus House Tridens in the future!

CP Violation – A SBM Pyralis Research Proposal

Hah! Tricked you :P This is my physics research proposal I’ve been writing all day :P It’s not a REAL proposal, per se, but it’s for my physics class and I thought I would share the physical pain with you too! :P hehehe

Dark Brotherhood News:

1) Sith High Warrior, DA Keirdagh Cantor (AKA Yacko) Resigns. As always, real life gets in the way of duty to the Hammer. The leader of our Sith Order is no exception. Yacko, if you are reading this, House Galthain applauds your support and service! DV salutes you, too! ;) Good luck wherever you decide to go next!!!

2) This week marks the break of the Brotherhood from Combat Operations Office of the EH TIE Corps. From now on, Clusters of Fire can ONLY be awarded for participating in Dark Brotherhood sponsored combat events. Please be patient as new events are drafted for creation. This change is due to the dereliction of duty on the part of DB members getting involved with a TC-only system. Awards were simply not given and the COO staff simply was not being cooperative.

3) DGM/DJM Mairin Astoris has posted the official DGM Page. http://dgm.minos.net/ It is from this webpage that ALL official DB comps must be approved. So, in the future, QUA, AED, and CMDRs, please go here to get competitions officially sanctioned!

Finally, House Galthain, I want to personally thank you for your extreme efforts in helping to make this House one of the most active and dedicated in the entire Brotherhood. I have every confidence that this will continue and that we will only become a more formidable force of Dark Jedi. The Dark Side is strong with us, my Brethren…
