SotN TET Report

3 January 2003;(week 10)

Happy New Year!

JH Gryphon Garou is back in SotN.

Now, it's my time to vent...(sorry Gryphon, you came back at a bad time)

There was competition running that you didn't know about, SotN, ...here are the results; First Place in the "not sending weekly activity" comp. goes to DA Orso, who has sent me 0 activity reports since I have been TET. Second in this momentous contest is DJK Sylph who has sent 1 since he has joined SotN. Third is a tie between our ACO and PRT who both managed to send 2 over the course of their time here, they cheated of course, because I had to ask for them. Congratulations to all of you...good work!

That nonsense leads me to ask a few things, 1) Why don't you participate in anything? 2) Why are certain things "beneath" you to participate in? 3) Are you all that worthless? I truly don't care what rank you hold, at this point, or what type of things you think you are entitled to, the facts are that none of you are doing squat for the Phyle! Look at the TET reports for the past nine weeks! Some can look at reports from before my time and see that they didn't do squat then either.

Clarification: This isn't a new problem, and I have taken into account the recent holiday, but it still doesn't change what has been going on around here. Both TET's of Aleema's Phyles have tried to get people active, but the response is always the same; either no response at all, or "I don't participate in those kind of events". Well, you're Krath! What the heck do you participate in? It's not all run-ons!

In defense of Tyro's like PRT Acklay (and a couple of AoD guys) who like the "gaming" side of the DB, (and are Krath because they were recruited as such), they make their mark in JK2, XWA, XvT and the like. Due to this, the suggestion of changing Orders has been addressed to these people, after all, I want what is best for the DB. If that means losing Tyro's to an Order where they will be more effective, so be it. As for those who remain collecting dust after finagling a certian rank, "make" or get off the pot! You are supposed to be involved, setting the example all across the DB. Instead you sit on you're butt...play when you feel like it (which is rare)...complain about the first thing you can (which is often), whilst reminiscing of "the old days", well, that's why they're called old days. The old days are gone, they will never come back...get over it.

I am not concerned that some may spout that this is no way for a TET to set an example. I beg to differ, 1) If it is not a TET who is responsible for telling you that you aren't cutting it, then who is? 2) If you look at my activity since I have joined, well, that speaks for itself. This was a long time comin', and if it induces remarks from people then fine, I can handle that. But guess what...there is nothing here that is untrue. So when you start your complaining, make sure that you do it right...at least you'll be doing something.

And with the new year I have a challenge...PROVE ME WRONG!

MSC 3: Artifact Creation

Greetings everyone...

The task 5 of the MSC-3 will start today (29 Dec) and end on the 9th of January...should be enough time. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas. Ref Saitou is away still, but if you want your scores for either Task 3 or 4 from me (those I have so far without those of Saitou), mail me directly please, thanks.

Now to Task 5:

Submit your work in a word-document, font size 12, Arial.

The Teams are supposed to work out an artifact together ...known capabilities, age, form, etc.

Fitting to the background of the MSC3, these shall be artifacts from Aquitana, found somewhere...you can make up the places they've been found as well. Whether it is a weapon of the old ones, or anything else is up to you...be inventive, have some fun, and don't make the descriptions too dry. Maximum length is 2 pages, minimum a 3/4 page.

Good luck and have some fun...I expect the submissions in my inbox latest at 2359 MET on the 9th of January 2003...

IWATS (Imperial Weapons and Tactics School) courses can be put in your dossier! Go to http://www.imperialacademy.org to enroll/take a course. Then get in touch w/ OBL Mage [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and follow these instructions;

1) You only get to send me one mail. Include all your courses passed and proofs/PINs in that mail. I will not be hassled to add a new course for every person one at a time. That, and my inbox doesn't need the thousands of mails.

2) Acceptable proofs are either other dossiers/records showing your courses passed, or copies of the confirmation emails.
