The Battalion of Fear in 2003

Well it has been some time since the BoF has received a BT report. 29/11/2002 to be precise. And that has been my fault entirely. When Glorfindel left I was happy to take over the position of SGT for the BT. Had some idea¡¦s on what I wanted and where we would go.

But then disaster struck and my own RL was shook up pretty bad. I had to spend a lot of time on Uni which made me spend a lot less time in the DB. But then I got news on the fact that there might be a chance of cancer in the family, with increased risk for me and brothers and very high risk for my sister.

Needless to say my head wasn¡¦t with DB at that time. In December I had some tests, and I¡¦m glad to say all is well. After that where the Exams of University and so again my time was needed elsewhere. But in all this time the BoF was SGT-less. It has been more than 4 weeks and for that I am sorry. And although some folks, like Reblet and Cypher, kept being active, it was not by my doing in any way.

And a lot has happened within the BoF and it¡¦s members while I was away. And as this is my first BT Report in a month and the first of the New Year it will be rather long. Still I don¡¦t think I will be able to report everything that happened. I may have missed some promotions and I have certainly missed the arrival and going of BoF members.

But I might as well begin and we¡¦ll see if I miss anything.

First: As many may have noticed the BoF website is very old. It hasn¡¦t been updated since I became the SGT and that¡¦s bad. But I am happy to say that I and Ziguarath have started to build a completely new Website for the BoF. And in view of this there will be a comp, the very first comp of me and 2003, but more on that later. So as soon as that is up I¡¦ll let you know.

Then we now have a total of 8 members in the BoF. Funny enough in my last report there were 8 members too. However a lot has changed. In the last month 3 members have left the BoF. Aleckz, Blackhero and Zeth Ni have all gone to the Rogues. However with their leaving we have gained some new members, NOV Yukito and NOV Darchtra have joined our forces. A very warm welcome to you, keep active and have fun that¡¦s what the BoF is all about. If you have questions feel free to ask anyone, we of the BoF are blessed with 2 very experienced people in the DB. Battlelord Michael Halcyon, who joined in November and the 3rd one to join while I was away; Battlemaster Ziguarath. A very welcome member to the BoF, and the one who introduced me to House Cestus, so I guess I owe him a thanks for that one too ƒº

Cypher has asked to be transferred to Rogues though, but has not yet been transferred as of yet. It is hopefully temporary but still a lose, for how long it takes.

I am glad to say, however, that there has been a promotion for one of our Troopers. On the 11th of December NOV Reb Crush was promoted to the rank of Acolyte. So although it¡¦s been some time now, congrats on that too.

There are currently some competitions running for the DB, Obelisks and the House Cestus. Most of them will end within this week. Like the Dark Jedi Games, so remember that. For more info check our AED Talon Zetar¡¦s site, who runs many of the comps. Also you can look on: http://www.minos.net/~mairin/index.php for all comps currently running.

Also every 2nd Sunday of the Month there are the Dark Jedi Duels. A very cool Tournament hosted by me and Sukuth, SGT of the Blades of Malice.

So this will be januari the 12th, make sure you fight in it is cool and different from normal tourneys. For the rules look at http://sukuth.webzdarma.cz/djd/. Make sure you enter it. The fighting starts at 21:00. But because of the pair system please get there early (20:30 at latest) so everything is settled before 21:00. For questions about it you can always ask me or Sukuth.

Now on to the first comp. for the BoF. As said earlier a new site is being made. For this (and other stuff in the future) we need a Logo for the Battalion of Fear. So that¡¦s the first competition we¡¦ll hold. Design the logo for the Battalion of Fear. Make it something cool, dark, something that says we are to be feared. Just make it worthy of the BoF.

The competition will start as soon as you read this and will end after a little over 2 weeks. So that¡¦s januari 4th for a start and ending on 20th of januari.

The best design will win it¡¦s creator an Emerald Star, The runner up will receive a Topaz Star and there will be a Quartz Star for third place. And of course the Logo will be there to see for all who visit the site.

Then last but not least keep writing your Activity Reports and send them to Zekk. There is a discussion on them at the moment whether we should continue to make them, but as long as nothing is decided, keep writing them. They are a good way of letting us know what you¡¦ve been up to, and this will of course result in promo¡¦s and medals, and we all want those ƒº
