Report for the week of January 19, 2003

This is going to be kind of random, being my first report and all, but here it goes:

NEWS!!!

• We will soon have the results for the Dark Jedi Games Run-On. Arania is now our grader and promises to have everything by Monday night.

• Bubbles is no longer in the Phoenix Phyle, for she is now our QUA. “Hip, hip, Hooray!!!”

• Jac is back, we’ll see if we can talk him into coming to Phoenix.

*Alanna, Congratulations again on your promotion to Pontifex.

• Rumors say that the Great Jedi War won’t begin until early March, but I’ll keep you posted on that. Official word puts it sometime in February.
  

COMPETITIONS!!!

:

• Bubbles will start a very cool competition tomorrow, January 20 (Monday). “Graffitti” the QUA. She’ll be send it out all the details in her report. So, participate and remember to have fun.

• Thursday is the launch date for Phoenix’s weekly competition. This week I’m asking that you write a short story or poem about a particular photograph. I would like you to think about a way of writing a very interesting and humorous description of the photograph, detailing why it is important to our Clan, House and Phyle. The winner gets a Crescent with Emerald Star, and if I get enough entries the second place winner gets the Crescent with Topaz Star.

*January Monthly Topics: Write a limerick on the topic “Hymn to Pain” (1-3 pages long, Arial size 12 font) describing a painful experience your DB character has gone through (you can adapt a real life occurrence). You can also (or instead) write a short story on the topic of “Invasion” (2-10 pages, Arial size 12 font). You feel a strange twang in the back of your head. Something is not right at your Clan's HQ. You leave your studies and investigate, only to find a horror beyond horrors stalking your fellow clanmates! You track it, trying to keep out of sight, but you fail. The horror has found you! SEND ENTRIES TO TRONSTA, and make sure to CC me and Bubbles.
