Quaestor Report

House Galthain of Clan Satal Keto

Quaestor: Sith Battlelord Pyralis

Aedile: Dark Jedi Hunter Hawker

For January 18, 2002

Pyralis gestured silently, alone upon the raised platform. A swirling of dark energy rose to the highest chambers within the Dark Hall. Within the audience chamber, all gazed upon Protector Hawker. A direct order from the Grand Master had made a provision that he was to be elevated past Guardian to the rank of Dark Jedi Hunter – the last rank a member of the Yeomanry would hold. The reasons for his double elevation were beyond the knowledge of most – save the Dark Council and he who wielded Hawker now.

Their Quaestor focused the dark energy. To become inundated with so much power so quickly was a tale most Jedi could never tell. Hawker, levitating in a lying position, felt his limbs weigh down towards the surface, but his midsection pushed upward by some intangible force. It was a force more powerful than he had ever experienced.

“It is done,” Pyralis breathed the last life into Hawker. Your journey towards power has reached a new level. You are now a Dark Jedi Hunter… But, more importantly, you are my right hand as Aedile. Serve this House with your greatest effort and the rewards of which will be rewarded far beyond your wildest dreams.”

Welcome/Transfers:

--Welcome Novice Sloth and Novice Lump to House Galthain. Apparently, you have connections with a great Sith – Guardian Big Daddy. Serve him well as he is now your Sith Commander in Ghostrider Squadron.

--Draco Caanis has changed his name to “Draco Aloran Caanis.” Rumor has it, his next request will be a pet gerbil.

New Aedile:

Yes, in case you haven’t already found out, JH Hawker has been selected as the new Aedile. He’s done a fantastic job already and I have high hopes for him as my new right hand. You will treat him with the same regard as you would any house or clan summit. He must be included on any and all Galthain communications. ALL submissions must be CCd to him too. He needs to see everything as Aedile. However, I hope that you will not judge by my word here as much as you will judge by his actions as Galthain Aedile. In the future, he will be writing a report of his own which will hopefully reduce the amount of stuff I have to plow through individually, and help you to NOT read one of my characteristic really long reports – you’ll just have to continue reading my shorter reports :D

Medal Box:

Not just for House Galthain, but rather the entire DB! Check out the latest and greatest innovation by the Seneschal. Look at DB news page for details and your profile for a medal box. Besides that, LOTS of medals for Galthain in the past week and a few big promotions!!! Congrats :)

Promotions:

DJK DarkHawk > SW DarkHawk

http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=264

The reason given for this request:

Jedi Knight DarkHawk has served House Galthain as my DDD CMDR ever since my ascent to Quaestor. He is a fairly consistent pilot, has passed the Shadow Academy DB Leadership Studies course, submits good consistent squadron reports, stays in contact with his members, aims to improve his squadron through Motto competitions, gives XO and FL recognition, has created a banner for his squadron with invited input from his members, is very supportive of the House summit, and has successfully led Domi’s Disciples of Death for quite some time now. In the current average CMDR term length, his tenure is unusually longer than the rest. To have survived this long is the mark of a good Sith CMDR. I know this has been a long awaited promotion and confidently believe he now truly deserves it. Congratulations DarkHawk – SBL Pyralis

PRT Hawker > JH Hawker

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/Dossier.asp?ID=2713

(note, the promotion has not been officially recognized on the database, but FF assures me it is done)

The reason given for this request:

Rank jumps like this are unprecedented and generally not looked well upon. However, once in a while, they are more than warranted. I remember being GRD back in the day and skipping straight to DJK as a member of CSK many moons ago. Today, I bring forth a similar case.

Protector Hawker has been an inspirational and vital key to the success of House Galthain of Satal Keto. He competes and submits for EVERY single competition that crosses his eyes whether it is a house, clan, order-wide, or DB-wide competition. He has consistently gone above and beyond even this having flown roughly 32 battles and 33 free missions since his last recognition as an active Galthain pilot. PRT Hawker has recently done more than I could ever expect compiling the activity of House Galthain from 12/28/2002 to 1/11/2003 into the format I have always adapted in my reports. This act alone is of immense importance as he has personally assisted me in a duty that was especially massive these past two weeks.

Protector Hawker’s self-less dedication to the well-being of this house has also earned him as a personal confidant and ear of the Quaestor. He is always on IRC and whenever I need him, I seek his opinion. He is undyingly loyal to my aims even going so far as to write whole massive plotlines which he was recognized for last month in connection with his position as Battle Creation Team Administrator.

During my leave, Talon Jade and Hawker were in charge of House Galthain. Although in a secondary position, he performed exuberantly picking up in the e-mail sector that Talon doesn’t care for all that much. He did exactly what I would do when pilots submitted activity for Galthain. He not only acknowledged it but also encouraged and praised the submitters. He energetically advertised the competition Talon Jade started that he and Talon continue to oversee and administrate.

Today, Protector Hawker is one of the most inspiring members of House Galthain to date. His motivation is endless and his infections energy permeates everyone that he encounters. As you have seen (and which I can present direct evidence of) he has simply out-done all Galthain pilots, he has been invaluable to me in completing my duties, and he has performed admirably in my absence. I would call it valor extraordinaire. I have seen no one else that deserves a double rank promotion such as Hawker does. Hawker only continues to break the precedents for activity and leadership in this House. It is not only necessary that we promote him to Jedi Hunter but de rigueur that it is done for the better welfare of the Sith Order of the Dark Brotherhood.

PRT Rebelkiller > GRD Rebelkiller

http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=2098

The reason given for this request:

Although Rebelkiller has to date participated in very few competitions, his zeal as a pilot has not failed him. Since his receipt of a DC in late December, he has flown TIE-TC 1, 2, 3, 10, 26, 31, 32, 44, 49, 50, 114, 197, 198, 199, CAB 5, FREE 207, 213, 214, 215, 216. He consistently flies and I believe that he has gained the wisdom to be elevated to the next rank of a Dark Jedi – Guardian. – SBL Pyralis

Awards:

SW Talon Jade > Steel Cross (SC)

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=1399

Reason given for request:

Sith Warrior Talon Jade has gone from a FM to my right hand man as Aedile from October 02, 2002 to this day. He has encouraged competition, recruited, and done much in the way of motivation and leadership for this house. He has unceasingly discussed the maintenance and administration of this house pointing out where my judgment is flawed and always serving to fill in places where Galthain has lacked. Specifically, he has added a helpful revision to the “Open Challenge,” helped administrate the first Round Robin comp and started the second Round Robin competitions (with three interesting phases), conceived an “intra-house” competition among the Sith, Krath, and Obelisk orders in a clan, pilot of the week title, apprentice system, and most of all, Talon Jade was a big advocate of a sense of pride in one’s House. Without it, there is no sense of identity – no sense that anything you’re doing is for anything. With Pride, one realized that there is more than just a pilot file. It is a House, a brotherhood, a family… It is very rare to find such a long standing officer like Talon that is still motivated and energetic. With his inspiration and aboveboard command ability, I am able to say that Talon Jade has been more than just a “secondary” leader of this House. Warrior Jade has acted as an equal and as a second Quaestor of House Galthain of Satal Keto. For this, managing the house while I was gone, and acting as my personal command assistant as Aedile, Warrior Talon Jade more than deserves the Steel Cross. – SBL Pyralis

GRD Big Daddy > Star of Eos (SE)

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=2719

Reason given for request:

Guardian Big Daddy has become one of the most loyal, active, and energetic members of House Galthain. Ever since the end of December, BD has consistently submitted countless pilot files, specifically: TIE-DB 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14; TC 1, 14, 31, 122; BHG 1, XvT-FREE 34, XWA-TC8, 9, 10, 11; FREE 34 (All of these for fun). In addition to this, he has also had four MP victories in a CSK competition: "Worth It?!: Phase Two" as well as 3 ORWII victories, having recruited DA Reinthaler to Galthain, passing the Shadow Academy course: Leadership Studies, as well as flying XvT-DB 1 for the Readiness competition AND filling in for the Delphian CMDR while he was on leave - consistently emailing the squadron and even writing a good report on January 6th, 2003. Even though he was just promoted to Guardian 2 weeks ago, ALL of this activity simply can not go unrewarded. A Star of Eos is a fitting reward for his consistent, aboveboard service over a period of two weeks. - SBL Pyralis

SBL Ricardo > Dark Cross (DC)

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=172

Reason given for request:

Since nearly one month ago, Lord Ricardo has submitted pilot files for TIE-TC 163, 97, and 169 as well as TIE-TC 32 for the Round Robin competition and TIE-DB 10 for the readiness competition. He has consistently participated in House competitions since then and for that a Dark Cross is deserved. – SBL Pyralis

GRD Delak > Dark Cross (DC)

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=1641

Reason given for request:

Guardian Delak accomplished two rather unexpected things while I was on leave. 1) He submitted multiple pilot files: XvT-TC 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 42, 43, 44, 50, 51, 54, and 2) Recruited SW Blade Kilraven from the Rogues to Galthain. I know it took a lot of effort to actually fly some SP for once, but it is much appreciated and I am really glad to say a Dark Cross is certainly deserved for excellent contributions to Galthain’s activity. – SBL Pyralis

PRT AshMaster > Dark Cross (DC)

http://darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dossier.asp?ID=2434

Reason given for request:

Protector AshMaster has long gone without reward. Although he can not give as much activity as I would like, AshMaster has flown 3 battles and 3 free missions which have gone without thanks for a while. Specifically, he has flown XvT-IW 30, XvT-DB 1, XWA-DB 1, XvT-F 51, XvT-F 6, and XvT-F 10. More than half these have been for Galthain or Sith-Order sponsored competitions. Since competitions are the heart of activity in House Galthain, and AshMaster tries to participate in these above anything else, a Dark Cross is a fitting reward for his contributions. – SBL Pyralis

Activity (from 1/11/03 to 1/18/03):

NOTE ON ACTIVITY:

Some recent activity isn’t being counted in this report simply because this report was due on Saturday. However, since my email wasn’t working, it’s coming out today. Apologies, but I want the activity record to resemble what people actually did last week although hints may be included of what was done recently…

High Activity:

Participation Ratio: 11/23 = 47.8%

Activity Ratio: 21/23 = 91.3%

Again, as a reminder:

Activity is: IRC Prescence, email contact, joining/transferring, or any of the following listed participation

I haven’t heard from AshMaster or Zys – but both are on extended leave which makes sense!

Participation is: passing SA course, submitting pilot file, competition participation, completing squadron orders, receiving promotion/award, flying MP match, fiction, graphics, webpages, or other items that help out Galthain.

“Worth It?!” – A CSK Competition : Phase 2

The competition does NOT have a specified due date. When Gord gets back from his technical difficulties, he will post a new due date and end the competition on that date.

Since a lot of activity has happened on this ladder since last week, I’m posting the CURRENT results below. Note, these are current results – not those from just Saturday and before. Also, to let people keep their eyes on the prize, I have displayed the current crescents that WOULD be awarded next to their rank. Yes folks, you see a Crescent with an Amethyst Star up for grabs!! :D That is a VERY RARE crescent. Usually we only see the regular Sapphire, Emerald, and Topaz stars.

Also, FYI. I have re-sent the Worth It?! Phase 1 results to Gord since they were lost in his hard drive failure… So, don’t worry about getting them submitted again.

Yes folks, Sith Warrior DarkHawk’s now INFAMOUS Galthain classic is still here! We have three challenges currently

1) Vessicant vs Hawker

 XvT-F 75: http://www.emperorshammer.net/battles/battle.asp?record=721 (High Score: 87,400)

2) Mell Kerrigan vs Mage (to be decided)

3) Pyralis vs Draco Caanis (to be decided)

I’m judging all of these challenges except for the one with Draco – Hawker will judge that one.

Random Announcements:

1) Stingray Squadron of House Tridens of Tarentum has won the Sith Squadron League. Congratulations go out to SW Hermann!

2) I have volunteered “Galthain squadrons” in general for a competition after the GJW with Hermann’s squad. I think we have what it takes. Hopefully you CMDRs are ok with me volunteering you :P

3) Galthain Webpage. The layout has been designed. Although it isn’t the best work I’ve ever seen, it will do. We await the coder which Hawker is in the process of finding still. More on all of this in Hawker’s address to Galthain.

4) The SHW has everything ready for the GJW it seems. w00t, Hades!
